What if both Obsidian and Bethesda Fallouts existed, side by side?

In some ways I'm glad Van Buren didn't get finished.
Before you hang me, it's because the villain seems suspiciously a lot like the Enclave. He wants to cleanse the world of genetically impure humans. Where have we heard that one before?
New Vegas didn't really have a main villain, opting for, "What happens to the Mojave with all these geopolitical powers vying over it?"

I honestly agree that Fallout: New Vegas has better plot than Van Buren. However the death of Van Buren lead to creation of FO3.

Elijah is pretty similar to Presper. I wish there was a way to combine elements of VB and NV. Maybe have two protagonists. The problem is how their plots contradict each other.

One major theme of Fallout: New Vegas was "letting go" but it was mostly in the perspective of revenge. Considering the protagonist of FO: VB is a prisoner, they could give an angle of salvation.

Don't get me wrong, I love hammy ass Mad Scientist villains.
I loved it in Advance Wars Days of Ruin and I loved it Battle Angel Alita.
And Elijah is less hammy than either in a good way. I'd just rather that he wasn't evul racial purity Nazi.
And in a way, he did get a whole chapter to himself and several notable mentions in the backstory of Veronica and the other DLC's.
