It can be explained in many ways probably.

What's this? A hollow, mindless, carelessly-conceived and lazily-implemented location in a Bethesda sandbox game the construction kit for which they are witholding indefinitely?

That is very possible, and as you can see, it's very well explained in the game why he's still alive.

I thought it was a direct link to that Star Trek episode where they find that alternate earth on which the ChiComs wiped out the USandA, and their decendents all lived to be 150 or sumfink...

I won't finish this game only becouse it's a liittle less boring and idiotic than Oblivion hell even Morrowind has better story and quests. :wall:
 
Bethesda should have made them non-hostile and allowed the player to interact with them. Would have been a fun twist to [spoiler:1212d3cd2f]stealing independence. Imagine if you could have brought the declaration to the communists for heaps of evil karma?[/spoiler:1212d3cd2f]

Kinda like how in FO1 the raiders weren't necessarily hostile when you went to their town.

Yep, and there is in FO3 a kind of a big camp of riders, with a behemoth locked in. The first time I saw it was "Ohh, that would a great location for some sort of riders-quest", but NO! You gotta kill them all...

Watch the DLC be a "RP Patch" that gives us another town that is more "Fallout-Style". In addition:

I'm sure that this game after downloading a few dozens mods and investing a handfull of bottlecups more will be playable RPG and not only good exploration and poor FPS shooter game. But I'm not impressed at all. Shame on you Bet; shame :(

That's.... Amazing. I... I don't even know what to say. All this arguing whether this game is good or bad with people, pointing out all the flaws and dialogue problems, the glitches... It's all trumped by that.

Why are we even debating this issue? The answer is right there. That's so stupid it's not even funny!
