Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
I've been tasked with putting together a quiz for a dinner party tomorrow night. The quiz is supposed to be about events in 2008, and so far my shitty imagination and poor memory have only enabled me to come up with three questions. Two of them concern Denmark and the last one is Joe the plumbers full name. I figure I'll need about 20 questions, so I'd apreciate it if someone here could give me some ideas.

Keep in mind that these are Danes, so the questions have to concern major events that will have been covered by the world press. Also, there'll be two teams with about 5 people on each, so the questions shouldn't be too easy (although not impossible either, obviously).

Erm, America elected its first black president. That is pretty big.

Major economic meltdown! Im sure that affected the danes to some extent.

I know but asking about those directly is way too easy. I thought about asking for three names of banks that went under in 2008, but then I'd have to know the names of all such banks in order to judge the answer (which I don't). The Joe the plumber question is related to the election, but I can't think of other question related to that that wouldn't be either too easy or too hard.

As I said, my imagination is pretty shitty. I blame pc gaming. :)
 
I did google quite a bit, although in Danish, and came up with nothing.

Michael Crichton died if he was big there. That might be your best bet is to look up who died :).

Death questions are always a great way to end the year.

I dont want to be rasistic or something, but isnt he cnosidered half-black or something along that?
 
Yeah his mother was white, but even so as simpleminded said, it's a huge step for the US.

As for the quiz, you could ask something relating to the 2008 Beijing Olympics?

Oh and Estelle Getty (Sophia Petrillo on The Golden Girls)died in 2008, maybe that too?
