Let me guess, you were like the dumb chimp at PC Gamer who wanted a more Blade Runner setting? Or did you think the full gas station in FOT "fit in"? Or a multitude of other inconsistencies and errata that didn't fit at all with the established universe of the Fallout setting?
Without the setting, there goes a significant part of the game's story. A change of a setting, despite if it's spin-off or not, doesn't belong for obvious reasons. It's rather stupid to just say "just like it". It's like a giant cock growing out of Lord British's forehead in Ultima 9.
Then again, you're just trolling by bringing up a old topic, and one that rightfully does bring to light the mistakes made with FOT. What's the next old hat trick discussion you'll bring back up out of 10 pages back? The SheepClaws?
So in short, get a fucking clue. It's obvious your comprehension of game design is certainly lacking. The "example" you use is pretty hilarious and idiotic. For a better examples, have "pastasause v2.0" replaced with engine grease. Would most people cringe at engine grease? You'd better believe it, and it's just what happened with FOT and its setting and how MicroForte butchered it mercilessly apart.
Then again, some retards do love eating pasta with engine grease.
