I agree with that. Past the original they aren't much worth it in my opinion.

They might get weird but that doesn't mean they aren't good.

Dune Messiah, at least, is defintely still worth reading.

lol... i was reading a wheel of time board and one person summed it up thusly:


book1: lots of interesting stuff
book2: lots of interesting stuff
book3: lots of interesting stuff
book4: little interesting stuff
book5: guy wakes up and gets out of bed
book6: guy makes breakfast and gets dressed
book7: guy brushes his teeth
book8: guy thinks of getting in his car
book9: guy starts engine
book10: guy turns steering wheel
book11: guy turns on blinker
book12: guy turns left
book250: guy goes to bed
book251: guy still going to bed
books 252-400: his dreams while asleep

i thought that was hilarius

Ha! Someone on wotmania.com once posted a timeline showing how much time passed in each book and saw that while the first book took place over about six months or something, the books got slower and slower, degenerating into the tenth book going back in time a few days chronologically.

Robert Jordan has stated, however, that book 12 will be the last book in the series. But Robert Jordan has proven himself to be a lying son-of-a-bitch.
