When and how did NMA react to Beth Fallout 3's rumours?

So, I'm browsing and searching through the news archive, since I was interested to see what was the initial reaction of NMA when they heard Beth was going to buy the franchise...

The problem is, I don't know what date to look for... I could also be mixing up my searching with Fallout 3 with talk about Van Buren, and that's not what I'm looking for.

Is it near 2004? I was looking at the news archive, but it's going to take some time to find the threads. Maybe there was another thread that wasn't in the news that started all the rumours about Beth buying the franchise from Interplay. Also, the initial reactions, any fan-made pics doing jokes about it.

It's going to be some interesting read for sure, and would like to see how some of the opinions of some folks here evolved in time. I know, I like reading some history on the Internet sometimes.

The first time I remember Bethesda being brought up was during the whole Interplay shuttering in June of that year, when Odin brought them up as possible buyer here, though it wasn't a rumour. There were no rumours of Bethesda purchasing it, though some people did know (but hadn't shared back then).

Really? It was just an assumption on my part. I'm surprised to see no rumours or anything leaked before an official announcement.
