Also the fact that with such a narrow view of the world even the smallest hint of dissension causes a rift and even violence. Veronica´s quest in NV is a good example of that. The ending of Anchorage´s DLC in FO3 too. Just wanting to change things or rightly rewarding an outsider for their help caused a violent confrontation between brothers.
