Talk to him first. He'll tell you that some people are supposed to come in about an hour to clean the office. Then you walk out of his sight and sleep for an hour. Come back, and tell him you're gonna clean the office and he'll let you in. Now you can use your sneak/lockpick skill to get the FOB out of the locker.

a better way to do it is tell him u have to take it somewhere safer or something..
i forget what it is, and what u need..
but that way u can take it without needing to lockpick..

I guess you just need a higher speech skill to do that. I never got the option.

I believe you need to talk to the cook, and he'll say something about moving the fob around. Then you can go back and you should get the option. You do need a pretty good speech skill, though.

on the good side, i have great speech, on the bad side, i have terrible lockpick, is there any other way i can get inside the locker? ill find out sooner or later, thanks for your help

great speech = ez + safe way..
talk to the cook 2 find out about moving the FOB around then talk to the guy tell him u have to move it around.. and he unlcks the thing for u..

tanker fob
Can somebody please tell me where the )*&$)^#_#'ing tanker fob is, I went down into the bottom level of Navarro, tripped an alarm, killed everybody on the floor, and I can't open the locker where I think the Fob is, the commander didn't have the key on him. Is there any other way to get into the locker? (I tried picking it 30 times with a lockpick % of 75) I also searched the top level, but, the turrets don't like me 80)

Well if you kill everyone I guess yer just screwed. Try using a lock-pick-set on the locker, if that doesn't work then yer just gonna have to up the percentages.
As for another way, I seem to remember someone saying you could talk to the cook or someone and then talk to the commander and he'd give it to you....don't remember specific details, but like I said, since you already killed them all it doesn't matter anyways.

Yeah, I back tracked (took me about an hour) and found my set of lockpicks I dropped on the ground (like an idiot) in gecko, opened the locker.

There are a couple of ways of getting the FOB from the locker:
1. If you have a good Speech and charisma you get the talking option of " Securing the FOB "
2. If you have Great Intellegence you get the option to " Clean the Commanders Office "
3. If you are a tough guy you can Beat the crap out of everyone and take the FOB from the locker if you have a Lockpicking skill of 90 or better

There is also a fourth way for a tough guy with lousy lockpick skill(at least in 1.00,I don't know how's it like in patched versions). After killing everybody,just take an explosive charge(plenty of them in the supply room),and use it to blast the lock!

If you're a bruiser type w/ high strength, you can use the crowbar to pry things open. hold-click on the locked object, select the "use item from inventory" picture, and it'll roll strength to see if you pry it open.

Im almost at then end of the game i only need something called a "FOB". I couldnt enter navarro base without killing anyone (my character wasnt diplomatic, no choice). After that i headed for san fran, and they told me to go to navarro and retrive FOB in navarro base.
i found 2 parts there
Motor
K-9 Motivator (looks exactly as Motor)
But still i havent found antyhing called a fob, guys im real lost here, any suggestions?
