Why doesn't the community make their own FO3?

There's a Fan Made Fallout TC in progress
They sound very optimistic and self-confident:

Going by the kill-off rate of various other "Fan Made Fallout" projects though, I'd personally expect it to never be finished. So stop waiting.
That's why people react how they react to the suggestion of community making their own Fallout 3.
The truth is that a group of fans successfully making a Fallout scale game/TC without financial motivation is something that doesn't happen often.
Real life catches people and projects fall.

I've seen something similar in IE modding community - they had superb tools, easy scripting, but still two most important TCs - Dragonlance - The Glory of Istar and Return to the Windspear Hills have died.

Actually the idea is nice, but most people are not serious with it.

We started the True Sequel Project some weeks ago and we left the time of orientation behind us.

So our little team is preparing some stuff atm, for example a techdemo.

When someone is interested he can pm me. We are searching for 1 or 2 with good Java experience as the engine and development tools will be programmed in JAVA plus JOGL. We need some who could contribute art, 2D/3D graphics, maybe a talented writer. We already have a good web-infrastructure including a webpage, wiki, board, IRC channel and so on.
So just pm me and ill send you the information you need.
