Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
ive always had this need to tell why i like fallout tactics...

the reason its a great game is not because its called fallout, its because its a tactic/strategy based game, wich i like a little, like commandos and stuff, but this is better than comandos, because u can pick up other peoples weapons and all that stuff, , but the main thing is that its set in the fallout world... and i think the fallout world is ready for LOTS of other genres, not just RPG, although i have to say that there will NEVER be made a game as great as fallout and fallout2

there its out of my system...i think

It's worse than JA2 in more regards. :)

Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha! Thanks for the laugh. I needed it. :D

Well, do you want to explain how you come to that conclusion, or try to let that stand on its own?

Erm..Better than Commandoes ? how so ? because you can pick up stuff and pick peoples weapons ?

Commandoes was made like this to, gasp, balance the game....

I like it so far as well, but it is inferior to JA2.

I don't want to get into an argument over this though, so I'll leave it at this. It's a fun game to play, but it's not really a Fallout game.

Odin and Roshambo, shut the fuck up. Kahgan, I definitely know what you mean. I just discovered the fallout series about a month ago, and I'm really getting into it. I've played quite a bit of each game, and I'm almost done with fallout 2. I think it would be awesome to see a real time strategy in the fallout world.

You were saying?

I suppose "getting into it" means "I get to kill things", as apparently story and setting have not much of a meaning for you.

I think it would be awesome to see a real time strategy in the fallout world.

Dear God, the first alternative to the Idiot's Tag-Line. "It would be kewl if..."

Keep it to yourself, kid. Let those who do this stuff for hobby and professionally speak as if they know what they are talking about. Save your one-line arguments and brain droppings for your clan buddies. That goes especially for you, since you presume to tell us to shut the fuck up and then in turn provide absolutely jack shit for backing up your mental masturbation of a Fallout RTS. You don't even get into how it would work. No, you just jam the mental gears into neutral and let the bullshit commence flowing from your keyboard. It's criminal in how you treat the poor thing.

I don't have to explain my points. Their explanations have long since been archived in length.

Exactly, it was fun enough to play but it wasn't a really good game. Too many bugs, bad balancing (especially on the TB combat system) and quite frankly the story sucks when you look at the initial story of Fallout..

Ah... the neverending story... thanks... always fun...

Anyway:
Commandos 2 rules!
Fallout Tactics is an okay game, but on its own terms. It has little to do with Fallout and shouldn't be regarded as a Fallout game. It kicks ass in comparison to Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, though. But then again: so does Tetris. :)

I liked JA2, but the graphics were poor. Maybe the story was better. Dunno. Meh. :D

Telling two admins to shut the fuck up isn't a very nice way to start a debate, first off his arguements didn't hang together, secondly he's allowed to have his opinion but based on "because you can pick up stuff and it's tactical" ? Come on!!

Secondly, evidently you don't know what the fuck you're talking about kid so keep it down please.

I think tactics is as fallout as fallouts. Only thing is that tactics is strategy game and fallouts are RPG's.

Gekko, I think you contradicted yourself. Tactics isn't really much in the way of Fallout-y and I would have preferred that it was far removed from the Fallout story. Maybe it would have been a better game if it wasn't trying to fit into the universe? You have to understand the thing which made Fallout was the role-playing characteristics. The lack of that in Tactics kind of defeated the purpose and the game lost that magic feel which made Fallout an awesome game. Now note that I don't hate Tactics and think it is an ok game but lets be realistic.

And let's leave this thread to sink on that note............
