Will Interplay give it a chance?

I hope nobody ever buys FOPOS or any walk'n'shoot game till the end of time! That's why games are mostly crap these days... cause that's what all the lame gamers buy.

Lamer gamers = young kids

Remember when you played countless lame side scrollers? Yea, Contra was walk in a straight line and shoot. That game just rocks. So its not like those games a damned just by their nature.

I rather liked super contra. Great game.

I'm just interested in getting Fallout 3. If that's still in production, I'm happy. FO:BoS? I'll get it out of curiosity at this point. Like I said at the Iplay board, I don't like using ranged weapons in those games, so I'm looking forward to the hackfest in DA2 more than the bulletfest in BoS.

Anyhow, it's not a matter of wishing the worst for BoS. It's a matter of wanting the best for FO3. If, as I've seen folks suggest on these message boards, Iplay has sacrificed FO3 in order to make BoS, then I'll probably cancel my order for BoS. Curiousity is one thing, but there's no point in supporting the company if it's no longer going to make the games I like.

I have nothing against "young kid" games. I like some of them. *shrug* More power to 'em. I just prefer a well written RPG.

Anyhow, we'll have to get news soon enough. At least I hope we'll have it soon enough.

Of course i played Contra, but i didn't have many alternatives back then (and i was really little). I agree that not too many adults/teenagers play these 100% shoot'em'ups, but many of them do play games close to that, such as the well known Diablo. There are more people of my age that like simple games than people that prefer complex ones, and that's why companies will make games mostly for them.
For example, i think that less than 5% of all today's gamers over 16 years would play Planescape:Torment more than 10 minutes, if you gave it to them. Why did Counter-Strike become so popular and not a FPS like Tribes 2? Because people of all ages prefer games that are not complex.
As far as I'm concerned, i don't need a new arcade game for ten years. There are lots of games like and from the time of Contra that i haven't played, and when i need something like that, MAME with some good ROMs does the trick.
