[WIP]Millenia's assorted works

ScreenShot25.jpg

Vashts1985, the guy who made the model, ported this thing for me

(If you didn't get it yet the texturing is what I did  )

Probably uses the default animations, I'll have to bugger him to gimme the model files first before I know though

whats wrong with the shotgun's fundamental design? instead of using a regular box magazine it has a drum magazine.... the only issue with it is that it has an obnoxiously short barrel once the round is chambered.... but all that rearward area could definately be used as a proper buffer area to drastically reduce recoil on the weapon(at the cost of rate of fire, but on a semi auto it shouldnt matter).

allright took a closer look at it with this pic...

the only issue i see with it is that the ejection port is aparently in the rear. on that design it should either be an upward ejection right on top of the drum magazine or a traditional to the right ejection right where the shooter's fingers currently are in that picture. i could make a semi automatic that uses either one, though the to the right ejection would be safer for the shooter.... lol.

i think everyone's issue with the thing is that it goes completely against what most people would think of... now i'm personaly for replacing the damned thing with a saiga 12k if your going to replace it at all. no point in replacing it with a shitty internal magazine tube feed shotgun(and in the end not have the animation insert enough rounds due to time constraints), just put in a saiga which looks a lot like an ak modified into a shotgun.

now that my friend is a combat shotgun.... ouchies.... :P.

can you see the internals of that weapon? you look at a fictional weapon in a video game and because it vaguely resembles a ppsh you tell me the weapon in the game is thus blowback operated? how do you know its not recoil?(gas would be hard with the space provided in it but thats possible too...)

and believe me i know firearms. its quite literally my job to know weapons. now, the largest cal ive heard of in a blow back pistol for example is 9mm markarov(technically 9.3m). off the top of my head i dont know of a blowback smg higher cal then a .45.... and there is the mk19 in the modern us arsenal that uses a high power version of the m203 grenade and is blow back. lol but the bolt on that thing weighs in exess of 20 pounds(god damn i hate working on that thing, and it isnt the weight).

yes you are right, unless you have an obnoxiously heavy bolt or a main/buffer spring so powerful a normal human couldnt charge the weapon you cant have a blowback operation for something as powerful as a 12 gauge. however that doesnt mean its too difficult to make a recoil system for the damn things. hell i remember no too far back seeing a couple recoil operated shotguns.... hell it could have a sort of gas operation like the benelli m4 super 90 shotgun, a system that doesnt require that much space for gas tubes and what not....

if it's recoil or gas operated then why does it look like a ppsh? form follows function and you're giving bethesda way too much credit

short time lurker 8-)
just skinned it my ass millenia, you and the others that put a skin to it brought it to life :D

i can say ive been _thoroughly_ playtesting it and it fits fallout like a glove.

id imagine you have grabbed the release by now, or i would send ya the files myself.

as for animations, in order to get the new mesh ingame, or atleast at the moment, you have to put it overtop a existing weapons mesh via Nifskope, than means no custom animations yet. it will be a focus in the future though.

we dont do this stuff for wanting profit. we do it for the love of the games. at least i do, id imagine millenia feels somewhat the same 8-)

ya..... just cus it had a drum mag near the end and has a grill sort of thing around the barrel doesnt mean its anything like a ppsh.... if your going to bitch about impossibilities in the weapon dont bitch about any silly similarities to the ppsh, bitch about the fact that the magazine is near the front end of the weapon yet it ejects at the rearmost point in the receiver. the mechanics to do such a thing are insane..... the weapon would have to have some sort of STUPID feed system.... actually it'l take me a while to figure out how to design a weapon like that, lol.

also bud.... even though it has a drum mag and a grill to help air cool the barrel it LOOKS NOTHING LIKE A DAMNED PPSH!!!!!!!!

(ya that really looks like a ppsh....)

and um.... form doesnt really follow function.... the super 90 i mentioned looks almost identical to your average pump action but its a gas operated semi automatic.....

it is obviously supposed to look like a ppsh, that bethesda's modelers are incompetent isn't news to anyone. the barrel shroud or "grill sort of thing" as you put it is the same as are the sights and triggerguard

I'm sure someone's said this but I'll do so [again?] regardless...

Very nice work.

If I may, I'd like to make a couple requests - if you're willing of course.
1) 'Magneto' versions of Laser Pistol & Laser Rifle.
2) Un-scoped .44, & scoped version of Hunting Rifle.
3) Urban-Camo version of B.o.S.'s Power Armor.
4) Urban-Camo version of standard Combat Armor.

I'd be very much obliged.

Excellent work, can't wait to use it in game. Do you plan to add the Fallout 1/2 original versions of most of the guns?

Judging from the original icon, the cylindrical part towards the front needs to be far slimmer. Flush with the rear section of the frame.

At least, if we're going off the originals and my opinion (which matters little) :)
