Witcher 2 end game dillema (major spoilers for roche part).

Token-not-found

It Wandered In From the Wastes
I only played it once , the "canon" (as i would do in RL) path so please avoid any spoilers that are from the other paths - i played the roche part , i was neutral, i saved Triss , let Sile die, let Roche kill Henselt etc.

Henselt was the emperor's bitch before the grand meeting or was he just faking it? Leave it at a yes/no level.

Anyway my main dilemma was about letting Letho go or not.

I want to hear pro and cons that don't imply spoilers from other paths.

I'll start with a pro life argument: he carried that scum Yennifer around with him for my sake (Gerald was a dumb ass selling his soul for that worthless whore) , he didn't kill me.

Against life argument: he used despicable means , tried to frame Sile ( did she do anything slimy enough before to deserve it before, and if so did Letho know? , why did he want to frame her ?), he practically started a world war just to revive his witcher school , is the emperor's puppet and could kill the Temerian bastard girl or otherwise cause some more political chaos with assassinations.

Anyway, why should Gerald care? I mean he's an outcast and got only shit from the North.
I only care about rising the standard of living for the common man , i want racial segregation (separate lands) and thus peace between races and a move towards more civil/political freedom for the common man.

Would those be worse under Nilfgaard or better?

I let Letho live. Yennefer and Geralt are an awesome couple (<3 Books), plus Letho is just a man who's trying to put his life back on the right track and revive his Witcher school. Emhyr would've invaded the north for the third time regardless of Letho's mission.

Also, racial segregation is hardly the best way to have peace between the races. It never worked out in the past: neither in the Witcher universe, nor in ours.

I killed Letho- he was the Emperor's puppet - he practically destroyed the north and he who employed those means can do so at any time at the command of the Emperor.

Also he employed scumbag means - betrayal , manipulation and deceit , a true politician :))

Also about racial segregation : in real life it was status segregation , not complete physical segregation, i was talking about 2 different states with no supremacy thing - for example - one state non-human and one human. Economic relations will still be enabled and no racial tension . Win -win.

Neither humans or humans are right imo. The humans invaded - but the current inhabitants have no fault since it was their great-great-great grandfathers who did it and the non-humans are obviously hated and obviously have no chance of getting "purity" inside human lands, instead of leaving to the lands Nilfgaard gave them they choose to stay there and aggravate both races and kill innocents .
