It's a little strange, but I have to say I always DID feel really guilty playing Mario 64 whenever I stole the turtle's shell. I mean for God's sake, they made him CUTE in that game, and practically harmless! And I repay his relative lack of animosity by using his scooped out body as a surfboard on crack? For shame Mario, for shame...
Jabbapop, I can't really agree with you on the "killing period is a questionable thing", although I certainly see your point. It may be dehumanizing, but I think in any situation (game, real life, whatever) we have to accept the fact that if we can rationalize one murder/execution/killing, we should be able to be able to rationalize a thousand of the same, or a million just as easily. If your initial cause is just, quantity shouldn't be of any concern except from the standpoint of tactical disposition. Whether you spit one barbarian on your gladius or a thousand, it's all just grist for the mill. Carry on until the threshings done.
It is probably a good thing that most people don't really see things that way, heh heh.
Side note: I am happy! Today my copy of Planescape: Torment arrived, and thus today is a good day. (A server fire notwithstanding. )
