World War I

I'm looking for a game or program with a good scenario editor that would allow me to design and then play scenarios from the First Great War or at the very least from around 1890+. I've hardly seen any games from World War I, although I checked out the Age of Rifles Construction Set, which has something close to what I'm looking for. Anyone know of anything?

If you don't mind some editing, you can try some games at http://www.paradoxplaza.com. Victoria and Hearts of Iron could work. HOI already has a WWI mod being worked on, so you could use their stuff.

anyhow, there also is an hidden and dangerous 2. thats pretty much alright although not extremely exciting.

but i think Lauren was asking for a WW I RTS and not squad based WW II FPS games... (could be wrong though)

Not really RTS. I was thinking something along the lines of Panzer General or something like that. Something capable of rendering an indepth tactical and strategic level battle with an editor that would allow me to run my own scenarios. It could be Real Time though, I'm not picky. Right now I'm messing around with the Age of Rifles Construction Kit, but it stops at about 1900 which is a little early.
Also its damn slow.

History Line 1914-1918, is a bit like panzer general I guess. It's made by Blue Byte, and is similar to the first Battle Isle games. Unfortunately it doesn't have an editor (as far as I remember), but I'm not sure if what you're looking for even exists.

Flop I could kiss you! Thats EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Why did I not think of tOAoW? Who knows. With its new WWI Database and wonderful scenario and campaign editor I'm one happy Commissar.

Damn you, I didn't get into that beta or the HOI2 one. Should I sacrifice a small animal next time?

The funny thing is, I have TOAOW. It seems to have slipped my mind for some reason. Right on about the editor being great, though.
