Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
I’ve read most of the reviews and everything else said about Fallout 3, but I don’t know if this was mentioned, maybe I missed it. Anyway, since the graphics and view in the first two fallout games did not allow too much visual detail. They had written descriptions for everything which not only allowed you to imagine it but also added to the atmosphere. Do we know if there’s going to be such a word box or now instead of reading about a dude with chains and piercing and then using our own imaginations to interpret the image, we would have to count on Bethesda’s interpretation? It seems pretty useless since its in first person, but maybe they could make it work somehow. Like if you have high perception you can get an additional message saying “you see an outline of what looks like a gun in her pants, or lest now you hope it’s a gun”

I am guessing since it will be First Person, and that the graphics will be teh uber shinii that there won't be any type of description.

Blah blah Wasteland blah blah limited graphics blah blah limited word count blah blah short flavourful messages blah blah mood blah blah depth blah blah texture blah blah young people today blah blah snow blah blah wolves.

I always liked the test box and descriptions as a throwback to the DM in a PnP RPG. It internalizes things and invovles you in the environment rather than a straightforward FPS where WYSIWYG and that's that.

Most likely another RPG casualty, as reading is not next-gen enough.
