Manual removal of malicious programs is a waste of time. Get inexpensive antivirus software like Nod32 and start protecting your computer like a normal person. Alternatively you can use the free edition of AVG Antivirus, however it's definitely not the most powerful and reliable virus removal tool in the hood.

You're absolutely right, Ratty. I took back what I may have said about antivirus monitors and I've gotten Panda Titanium, which apparantly took care of the trojan (plus some other adware I neglected to cleanse completely).

Still, it's probably going out the window once it's past the trial period

It slows down the system like hell :/
