Your favorite TV show intro sequence

Gonzalez

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
If you can and it is uploaded put a link to youtube or wherever the video is.

If not, just leave the name of the show and a brief description.

It can be any kind of TV show, even cultural an documentaries, realities, anything, whatever it is your favorite and brings the greatest memories.

I'll leave you guessing on mine for now, but it won't come as a surprise I am sure. And there are more than one that are my favs, but there is always a special one.

So, let's see 'em...

hmm letz see if I can get it together

"What do you want?"

"Information."

"Whose side are you on?"

"That would be telling... We want information... information"

"You won't get it!"

"By hook or by crook, we will..."

"Who are you?"

"I am the new Number 2."

"Who is Number 1?"

"you are Number 6."

"I am not a number! I am a free man!"

Laughter

Prisoner - the opening is classic. The intro tells half the story.

Then again, I have always had a soft spot for UFO- an early 1970s show of an our world in 1980 as it fights off an invasion of cannibalistic aliens, using submarines that launch fighters, rocket launching tanks, an a squadron of interceptors based on the moon and supported by purple haired chicks in skimpy outfits. Things could be worse-

Also, anyone who does not like Dexter should be chemically castrated.

There are some really good ones here.

Mine is not that cleaver nor such a classic, but it sure brings me memories.

It is not just the intro but the first part of a chapter, so you can stop watching after the intro ends.

Every day when I came home back from school I would tune in The History Channel and watch it. And what the intro always meant to me was that there was a whole hour of sublime real war footage ahead.

I don't know why, but at that age I just felt I just HAD to watch every piece of war footage I could (from any war but preferentially both world wars), and suck in the images like a sponge, the explosions and machine gun sound effects along with the background music made the experience even more unique.

Yeah, got to be a crazy obsessed f*ck like me uh.

I guess the only other person I heard of being obsessed with war footage almost as myself (at least WWII related) would be Steven Spielberg.

Anyway, this is not my only fav intro, there are a few more, but this is the one I consider more reminiscent of an era.

I love House and the theme is, well, kind of an in-joke between me and my brother.

since my other beloved series have mostly been named already:

The 80's man.

Mention A-Team and MacGyver, but neglect to mention Airwolf and Knightrider?
Man, the '80s were awesome.

Really like the opening to Sons of Anarchy, but can't find a video of it, so here's the song instead:

Also, True Blood has a pretty good opening. It's also the only good thing about the show:

Heh, some nice tits in the trueblood OP at 0:56. Pretty funny; 1,155,968 views and nobody caught that.

How is Sons of Anarchy by the way? I normally stay away from 'serious' shows on network television because they always feel castrated, but I do like Ron Perlman.

I really like Sons of Anarchy, it's a pretty good show about a biker club that's controlling a small town. The long-term storyline is apparently based on Hamlet.

I do like the normal 'serious' shows like Sopranos and Deadwood as well, so take it for what it's worth.

Airwolf, Kightrider, A-team got my nostalgic juices flowing:

Now, this is a classic:

But to not let you think it is all about war and fighting, here is something more... relaxing

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7oDuGN6K3VQ&hl=es&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed>

And now back to some action

And I still don't know how anyone hasn't posted this yet:

Twin Peaks was awesome...Ennio Morricone wrote the intro music IIRC.
Angelo Badalamenti.

I'm not seeing the Dr. Who intro with Tom Baker's face in the whirling time tunnel. That would be on my list with along with Cheers, and The Six Million Dollar Man. We can rebuild him.
