But in all seriousness, Vergil really shouldn't have been banned for the reason given. Though as much as the Order and some of our more staunch leftist members would like to see him go permanently, he made a little Nazi joke on a personal profile, to a friend (Crossfire), and the friend isn't even the one who reported him. You said you warned him 2 other times for this behavior @SuAside , but whose profiles were they on? Those incidents could have very well been with friends too. There are plenty of us here who don't have thin skin.

I know I'm derailing this thread right now but fuck it!! I'm gonna turn this whole dam thread into a Vergil memorial appreciation thread.
He wasn't warned for spamming profile shit specifically, he was repeatedly warned for being an asshole in general, both using the built in warning system and just telling him to knock it off in general as well.
Regardless of the specific incident, he already had 3 warning points / strikes on his profile for being an asshole and should technically have been banned on Nov 22.
Man, I'm just sitting here wondering who is reporting stuff posted on other people's profile pages. Honestly, whoever feels so bothered that they feel they need to do that... just, I don't know, get a hobby or something. Collect stamps, build model airplanes, do some charity work or spend some time with your family. Just do something, anything, else.

The Pact did have secret clauses dvicing Poland between the two dictatorships, but it's unlikely Stalin would have ordered an invasion by his lonesome. Anyway, there was ~14 million civilians killed both by Hitler and Stalin in central/eastern Europe in 1933-1945. And that was just a start, they were aiming for 50 million dead civilians according to Generalplan Ost, so these two mass murderers belong to the same basket. More in Bloodlands, book by Timothy Snyder. What baffles me is that people got banned for praising Hitler, while other openly worshipping Stalin are fine.
Who's openly worshiping Stalin? I don't remember that anyone in particular is in love with that fucker or seeing in Stalin anything else but a mass murder and dictator.

No one's complaining or surprised because someone got banned. That's not the point. The point is that by @SuAside 's own set of rules Vergil didn't do anything that deserved banning. To address the specific points of that:

His post was a retort, and it wasn't even the first one between Crossfire and Vergil to post one of those jokey "chain comments" on the other's profile. He was just responding with his own joke post on the other's profile like they've done countless times before.

And thats exactly what he was doing. Crossfire and I already both said that it was just banter and that the two of them joke on eachother's profile like that all the time. He was just being funny and in the context of making a goofy post resembling one of those dumb Facebook "chain comments" he should be by Suaside's own definition "find by me".

He posted it once on a close friend's profile. Is that really "spamming"? Yes the Twibber feed is public as you said, but the comments on those posts aren't visible right away. Someone would have to actively click that specific twibber post's comment button to even see Vergil's banter. If comments showed up on the twibber feed as well I could absolutely understand the "spam" moniker, but they don't, and he did this with a buddy, not on someone like Crni's or Buxbaum's profiles.
I'll also add before someone tries to say "omg stop derailing the thread by making it about Vergil" the thread's main theme right now isn't even about Trump, which is the main point, it's about World War II and Communism right now.

Also, don't talk like people are banned left and right here for their opinion. How often has Ilumminati Confirmed 'defended' the Holocaust, Himmler and Hitler? That the Jews had it 'coming'? Strange. Why wasn't he banned right away? And what got him banned in the end? Repeated insults.
Yeah mate, I get how the site works. What I'm saying is that I have a great deal of trouble empathizing with whoever reported it. Especially when the intention behind it was anything but malicious. I mean, what exactly got him banned? The depiction of a swastika? The use of sieg heil? I don't get it.
Maybe it just comes down to individual differences, maybe it's a cultural thing (I know you Germans out there have banned ANY depiction of the swastika regardless of extenuating context) but I'm trying my best to think of something that would rile me up to such an extent that I would feel like hitting that report button and wishing that it would go away.
I guess I just thought better of you guys. To me NMA was a small, tight-knit community of intelligent and discerning individuals who understood context and was free of the kind of knee-jerk, reactionary, hair-trigger temper nonsense that you see everywhere else. I guess I was wrong.

That all may be, but the way I see it he was already supposed to be banned after getting a lot of leeway and warnings, so this is all moot. I think the best you're gonna get is SuA going "oops, i guess it wasn't really spam so i guess i'll unban him, but oops he's actually supposed to be banned for being cunty so guess not".
I'm basically just a spam-janitor though, so I may be wrong.

Also, I can easily think of something that riles me up enough to hit the report button, but these days I just remove the spam myself.
