New Vegas debut trailer

nothing much to comment on atm. sure you can speculate or whine about everything, but might all have good explanations. so i'm waiting for more content to surface.

I liked the robot trying to dig out that body. It would have been much easier to grab hold of it's foot and pull it out of the sand. Dumbot!
is that what it's supposed to be doing? seems really retarded to me. don't get it.

Robots locked in repetitive actions is such a Golden Era sci fi trope it barely needs explaining.

I don't know if it's trying to dig it out or just in some kind of "move pebbles" loop. Either way would be fitting.

Nothing else to say other than that the music is - indeed - not interesting and the teaser trailer is just that - a teaser trailer. I don't get psyched over such things and I certainly don't get people who can be turned away by something as nondescript as this. But eh.

I had a feeling it was cleaning. Perhaps New Vegas inhabitants like their desert clean?

the robot reminds me too much of the robots from borderlands. i do like the tv and the flag though. i somehow doubt this is tycho though.

lol, that's it?!

Ridiculous.

Then again, I generally think Bethesda should be ignored whenever it's possible as an ultimate distain for moronization of fallout universe, even if they are not developers. In a way, this game is from their [bastard] spawn.

It's a just wishful thinking that they will alloy someone to change formula that was so successful in their previous installment in this universe, so it is naive to think that someone will be able to make serious game as long as this Bethesda setting up rules. Add to this a "conzolization" problem, and you will have Bethesda's Fallout 3 with some different flavor, but that about all.

I expect better quests though, not because someone will try to make something great, but more because Bethesda's quests are so poorly written and executed [for 16-years old and above], it wouldn't be hard to beat them in any case.

And again, this "trailer" is pure example of that "state of mind": it shows absolutely nothing, preparing anybody who has a 2 brain-cell and more not to expect anything more. And I expect 90%+ scores and more...

Meh, this planet has to many people anyway...

Honestly, I think it's searching through the sand looking for a particular item. No idea what it is, perhaps it is programmed to look for anything of value.

I thought that the robot was gathering materials or something. Materials that can be used to light up the big freakin' city over there perhaps. :P Could just be some crazy robot doin' crazy robot things.

Probably reading way too much into this... but:

The lonely robot as Obsidian. Slowly working away at awakening the long dead and buried glittering gems of hatred. The tool they have for the task is not really appropriate, but it's all they can do.

I haven't played Fallout 2 in years, so correct me if I am wrong.. but, isn't the NCR flag in this video based on the NCR flag that was published in the Fallout Bible? Only difference is the bear has two-heads rather than one.

And before anyone points it out, I'm aware the Fallout 2 NCR flag had a bear with two-heads, however its design was a bit different overall.

Its a new design in this trailer, basically a combination of the two flags. It looks like the one headed bear flag from the Fallout Bible, but the bear head is up in a roar like in the two headed one.

Yeah, I'm bored. :P

The trailer looks like a mix of old Fallouts and Fallout 3; particularly the zoom-out to reveal a guy with scary music in the background but also an NCR flag. It's a pretty clear hint at what the game will be like.

The robot was definitely not grave digging, as it was not on top of the body. It looked more like it was looking for something.

The back of the Helghast clearly says A7 (if you watch this in HD).

It would be hilarious if this ended up being a crossover with Killzone.

The N on the trenchcoat. A7 is on the helmet.

actually, it's [7] on the helmet and A7 on the back.
