First post here. First of all I'd like to thank all the modders for their contribution in making the game so much better.

I have a request and I hope this is the right place to post it.

I'm irked by the crappy looping music in the Tenpenny lobby (where you can meet Gustavo and the Tenpenny citizens) I see this as a way to punish the player for taking the evil path and blowing Megaton into Oblivion (pun intended).

So I'd like to know if there is a way to simply turn off that crappy music that loops and is slowly but surely making me crazy. I even avoid going back to the Suite to stash my stuff because of that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

That music makes me going crazy, but because i made the bloodbath in tenpenny tower, its' kind of ironic the music still playing duirng the atack and after, with all the destruction.

Maybe a mod with a radio that plays the music, that can be turned off.

I never noticed it, then again; I've got the ambient music turned down.

I would personally like it if the music were just an ambient sound that played near the elevators rather than all over the lobby.

Yeah, I have to turn the radio on every time I go in the Lobby to avoid going completely batshit over this.

Disabling or changing music doesn't do the trick anyway.

    1. create directory Fallout 3\Data\sound\fx\mus\tenpenny

2a. create empty text file in this director, rename it to mus_tenpenny_01_lp.wav

    OR

2b. put a .wav file you like into this directory and rename it to mus_tenpenny_01_lp.wav

I also put this into the archiveinvalidation.txt but don't know if this has to be done to work properly:
    sound/fx/mus/tenpenny/mus_tenpenny_01_lp.wav

This looks like a very good thing to change in the Fallout 3 alternative soundtrack. Thanks for the idea :) we'll look into that.

yep TenPenny and Oasis the loops suck!
actually I think a lot of the music in this seemed rushed or more like Oblivionish.
Needs more diversity and more randomization. Like in TenPenny towers there should be longer tracks and more tracks that randomize like exploration. Of course the random function of exploration does not seem to random either.

anyway any new music is good for the future MODs I say

There's a mod that adds a cabaret version of Down with the Sickness to the lobby. Very cool. Fits well with the ghoul take over too.

I could be mistaken but i think it s quite the same music that is played in the mall in Dawn of the dead . At least it reminded me of this and imo Tenpenny tower is an obvious easter egg related to this movie.
