F:NV mod list?

Palandiell

First time out of the vault
Coming back to F NV after a long time, new pc and all. However, I have zero mods now installed. I am a bit lazy and I will eventually look through a lot of the mods, but I was wondering, are there any good mod lists out there? would make my life a lot easier :)

Get Mission Mohave Ultimate Edition, Mission Mohave Ultimate Edition Plus and jsawyer. Bufixes, cut content and Sawyer's revalance, this is all you need.

You're going to go do someone forum digging ( not much) to find some New Vegas mods lists but most of them, while having the essential, aren't up to date. Some mods were removed or just are unmanageable today and some great new mods aren't mentioned by them.

You can just browse the top 100 from new vegas nexus mods too.

I disagree. I have over a hundred mods I can't do without, but I've played New Vegas to death. Nexus is the place to go for the most part. Everyone has different tastes though.

So old... I became so old.

The NV mod community is reaching a phase where every is already overhauled and some mods are just overhauls of the overhauls or just famous mods fusioned together like Project Nevada + Jsawyer + another one ... or NV Redesign 3 + New Vegas Overhaul or the many bug fix, UI mods, weapons mods even the sex mods. Apart from new weapons and quest or companions there is not much to see anymore.

Its past time where someone tries to do Van Buren or related content in NV, hell, they are already making FO1 on it and the prequel of NV, Project Brazil ( Does episode 2 of this thing done yet?)

I hear you Emperor but it takes time to make such a mod.
For one you need to find people who have the skills that are willing to work on such a project, and more important stay long enough to actually finish the said project.
They tend to drop off the radar when the initially hype dies down, leaving a project unable to continue.

I have applied for the Fallout Lonestar project last year and I still have not gotten a response, most likely because outside writing I don't offer any skills such as map making (I hope to correct this in the future).
And after what I heard on the News forum about this project I am not sure I want to join any more.

Yeah I know it takes time to do a mod especially in the GECK, I tried making one some years ago but the thing is so complicated and broken that I don't know how someone makes something out that thing.

Even mods in simple engines takes time, I'm trying to make an interactive novel in a simple engine which doens't have graphics ( ChoiceScript) and it takes time ( well I procrastinate a lot, like, right now writing this when I should be writing my story).

The GECK takes some getting used to, but simple mods are a cinch, with a little time and patience. Yes, GECK crashes and bugs out a lot, but it works mostly. I've modded my entire game to feature new character textures, armors, weapon level lists, and various tweaks and bug fixes to other mods. Simply downloading a mod like AWOP and going through and changing things taught me a lot, that and the Bethesda tutorial where you build a vault.

Well the thing only crashed for me and the command didn't work, even following tutorials and videos. I guess is just my computer
