How is Fallout 4 even possible, if cryogenic tech KILLS YOU IN FALLOUT!?

Somehow Vault Tek had access to alien cryo tech.

You need Proof? Ok, then:
409 years in cryo sleep and came out fine at the first try of waking him up:

Oh lord, the aliens.

Ahh well, its nice to know there's more ammunition for the 'fuck bethesda' team of fallout fans.

I made that up... I hope no one believes that FO4 actually says it was aliens.... It doesn't, right?

(A) Hate Text
(B) Dislike Text
(C) Hate Reading
(D) Sarcastic

(Lets have fun and make dialogue for these very basic replies)

(A): Fallout 1 was isometric, so the text doesn't even make the game better, my graphics are nicer.
(B): Text is for pansies, real men shoot people.
(C): I can't read. ;(
(D): Oh? Your text based characters were better than mine? Ahh, of course. 9_9 I guess flat and boring characters are too good for you, huh?

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Dobbs

Remember Dobbs?

Remember how about 5 seconds after moving around, he melted into a pile of meat-soup?

Someone needs to make a 'lore friendly' mod which kills the protagonist after a few seconds of starting the game, then gives the player control over a random citizen somewhere.

Now to be fair Dobbs was put in bio med gel, not just frozen.

Actually, I don't know how the Sole Survivor would have survived anyway given there was no medical equipment or anything connected to them when frozen.

Bio-Med-Gel is pretty awesome shit though, it basically that bacta shit from Star Wars, keeping brains alive and stuff.

The sole survivor literally just became a popsicle...

I mean, this thread assumes that the writers at Bethesda have actually played Fallout 2.

I don't think they have, they ignored the invention of Jet...And completely ignored how ghouls cannot run...

Exactly. The very fact that they thought Fallout was "The Post-Apocalyptic 1950s" just goes to show how off-base they were about the games.

I genuinely believe that Todd Howard, Emil Pe-whatever and the rest of the crew in charge just watched the Fallout, Fallout 2 (and possibly Tactics) intros and said, "yup that's Fallout."

I don't even think they watched the intros...

I mean, the Vaults were majorly just survival shelters in 1 and 2...

Bethesda retconned them into a bunch of retarded incompetent experiments for no reason.

Hmm, not sure if that's the case. I'm pretty sure Vault experiments are mentioned in the Fallout Bible....

Bethesda's "experiments" are terrible and boring though, I'll agree to that. So much potential, and they blew EVERY SINGLE ONE.

I didn't say there wasn't any experiements, but fallout 2 literally starts with a vault opening and the people waving happily as if their lives were perfect...Before being eradicated by the Enclave.

GARY? Ah ah Gary!

GARY? Ah ah Gary!

They really fucked up on that...They have CLONING and all they do is make more enemies for you to slaughter?

There could have been this awesome test of ethics, maybe each clone gets more and more crazy, so you can help them repair it before they all 'die out', or you could destroy it or something.

GARY? Ah ah Gary!

Sigh...

I remember someone here (way, way back I think) came up with a really good settlement story for how the Vault experiment produced clones, who then built a town...I can't remember if they were a generational thing or if they just kept cloning more and more people to keep the population going, but yeah, it's horribly wasted potential to have cloning and do nothing with it. Typical of Bethesda of course.

Don't worry though, I'm sure Fallout 5 will retcon this and suddenly make the Empire of Gary a thing.
