        The thing is, Game Journalists often don't particualarly care about the games they are rating, they just want to get it over with so they can rate the next game. User Ratings tend to be from those who want to rate it, so feel strongly one way or another.

        That's why I always trust users first.

        It's not just reviews though. It's subsequent articles. There are articles everywhere about some NMS. I get that NMS is news right now but it still feels like they're deliberately ignoring the bad reviews of Fallout 4 DLCs. "Nuka World has come out to a mixed response". That is news. But instead all we get from journalists is "Top 10 Things to do in Bethesda's new Nuka World."
