Beating Fallout 1 Without an Inventory

Negativity

Take a dirt nap
I though you'd be interested in my video where I beat Fallout 1 without an inventory. It was an interesting playthrough for sure, and really does show the massive affect that the inventory has on the games progression. As you could imagine, without armour or weapons, the game is sort of the same at the end as it is at the start, except that I'm more skilled, more accurate, and can critical enemies easier.

If you keep up with Fallout speedrunning, the you'll know that this is possible, since current runs don't use the inventory. However, I wanted to pull this off without using major exploits.

I've also published this in written form - https://pastebin.com/8tBNjUxw

Good job dude. You should do fallout 2 next!
Thanks! I'm not sure that it's possible. Frank Horrigan would be a son-of-a-bitch to kill, without the turrets, without armour, I don't think I'd even survive the first round of shots. The rest of the game would be possible I think.

Do you think its possible to win if you grind random encounters for ages? You don't have to race against a time limit, so you can grind random encounters for xp ad nauseum. With that you can maybe max what you need. You might not get the turrets but you can convince that squad of enclave soldiers. Maybe abuse resting over the course of the game to regain hp as well, and store every single bit of healing you can get for the final showdown.

There is the 13 years time limit, that would only be relevant when you try to grind.
I guess he can try to recruit companions and only use them there. (so they don't spend their initial ammos)

I think 13 years is way more than enough to level max grinding random encounters

The only problem is that I might have to take some initial shots from Horrigan, and I can't equip any armour, so I'd need to fight every Enclave I come across. I could give it a try, but it would be a hell of a task.

You could abuse combat button to start a fight over and over again before Enclave becomes hostile. I think it might not work on every version of the game.

Yeah I guess i could do that. It's the ultimate exploitation of mechanics, but it's an acceptable route.
