Ironically, as a computer technician, I prefer that as well. Had this realization in college with not only books but also courses.

I've always enjoyed Hellboy/BPRD stuff but never got into reading it consistently or keeping up with it. Like many comics, it just goes on too long. The only series I read most of was Ultimate Spider-Man because I got them in a mail subscription growing up. Eventually stopped keeping up with it. The only other comic-like thing I know I've read a good chunk of in sequential order is Berserk and JoJo's which I only got about a third of the way through what they offer. At least with Ultimate, I made it through the first whole era of Peter and a little bit afterwards.
It's the same reason I don't fuck with a ton of TV shows/animes/whatever. Witcher stuff I'd like to read one day but like Lemony Snicket, I'll die with a pile of stuff I meant to read beside my deathbed.

I remember hearing that if you spent a few seconds at each exhibit in some chain of museums + time to travel there, it'd take you like 3 lifetimes or some shit. The world is an oyster but you can't finish your dinner so maybe you should ask permission to be excused from the table.
Part of what makes Hellboy/BPRD so good is that it is so big. It doesn't limit itself to just one story but rather tries to build up a universe. Where no one person is the center of everything and there are domino bricks all throughout history that has to knock one another over to reach the final end point. There's 'some' stuff that isn't all that consequential to the main storyline and lore but a lot of it does tie into one another and help contextualize why things are the way they are.

But I get it. This is why 'I' like it but I can absolutely understand how someone might find it daunting or overwhelming because it requires a lot of dedication to finish reading from point A to point Z. As much as I loved it I can't recommend Hellboy/BPRD to anyone who isn't willing to commit fully to it because the overall story isn't over in just 10 or 20 or 50 issue. If you want to see the story through to its conclusion then it requires a lot of time.

I dunno when you last read it but the story is pretty much concluded at this point though. Whatever Magnom Dong releases now is pretty much post-ending content or smaller stories that he can wedge in between the major stuff to contextualize things further. I can do a quick little edit to the reading order list I just send to cut out some of the fluff if you're interested in only the major stuff.

I'd be interested but also I know the interest isn't there right now to act on it. So that's up to you just know it may or may not ever matter to me lol. But I do like BPRD stuff, maybe one day my obsessive mind can focus on reading it.

That should cut out as much of the "fluff" as possible. But anything not greyed out I'd read.

Also here's one- all fascists are thieves of the most dumbest order. They feel the need to co-opt on what they played no part in creating. They have the reverse midas touch. Everything they touch turns to shit. Makes me feel a little bad for old skinheads in the 1980's who had to drop the Martens and suspenders because of the boneheads and they didnt want the association. While SHARP exists, i sometimes wonder if they think it's a hopeless battle They have no culture or originality so they prey on others to keep themselves afloat. They are the reason gatekeeping exists honestly. They are vampires.

Facist is nothing more than a word used to dehumanize others to justify violence. I cringe every time I see it used.

Also gatekeeping is based if fallout was gatekept better it wouldn't be in shambles.

Yeah no, if youre willfully following ideaologies that are known to indulge in fascism and/or are fascist. Then call a spade a spade, the fascists dehumanize others and try to justify that violence towards others. So why cry victim when they would do the exact same if the roles were reversed? That's like trying to give Boneheads in the L.A. punk scene in the 80's a chance to play victim. Everyone who was around back then will tell you, they weren't. But i do agree if Fallout was gatekept better then it wouldnt be a shitshow.

. Then call a spade a spade
problem is everyone is calling heart, clubs, and diamonds spades too. so its literally just "i dont like these people" its as meaningless as nazi or racist. any time i hear someone say that my intitial reaction is disbelief because its been misused for so long.

what an ironic question.

We tried to gatekeep it, we did what we could. But Fallout 4, it really was just designed as a giant slap in the face to FNV or even the faintest of idea that Bethesda could ever redeem itself.

So when will you have an issue when it's used correctly? Especially when it is used correctly?

Yeah ironic question. Shouldnt be hard for the boneheads to answer seeing as they have all the answers. (Source: just trust me bro)

i dont know who that is but you seem to really be obessed with them for some reason.
Hey let's not confuse concern with obsession. When you live near mouth breathers who share common themes and ideas with them and/or has sympathies towards. It's a cause for a concern. Obsession it's taking free rent space in someone's head and mentioning them every flipping two sentences and using them as a little blame for damn near everything you go through. I only brought them up once to make a point about Fascists are deeply envious thieves.
