    Unpopular Opinion and Discussion thread

The first three times I read this, I took it to be intentional sarcasm; hyperbole to illustrate a point. *But please do correct me if I am mistaken.

Do you think Microsoft will now push Bugthesda to release a remaster of New Vegas?

I would support a corrected Enclave PA suit, with that asinine vent on the back removed, and the Fallout symbol restored to it. Honestly there are only two RPGs that I'd —want— to see done by Bethesda: Lands Of Lore IV (which they won't do, because it's too close to TES), and a full FO3/TES...

If Fallout 1 was in Real Life | AI Generated

If Amazon were smart (and they're not), they would implement an AI capture filter for Marcus, and hire Michael Dorn to portray him for their TV show.

Fallout 2 mod EcCo Gameplay Overhaul (new version for RPU)

This was my thought (question). I wouldn't say that getting the ADV-MKll armor counts as a required path—but for those events in the games that are requirements (to completion), there are usually three ways to accomplish them. There are PC's who cannot use guns; some cannot use melee weapons...

Fallout 2 mod EcCo Gameplay Overhaul (new version for RPU)

Does this mod work well with the other two of the principle three character builds? (thief & diplomat) There were times when the developers would outright cheat to allow the PC to succeed where a failure could cut their game short. The Supermutant door-guard at Mariposa (AFAIK) simply never...

Fallout 2 mod EcCo Gameplay Overhaul (new version for RPU)

Sounds sensible... however Navaro was implied to be an understaffed (and relatively recent) forward base; a first toe-hold on the mainland. Which IMO would excuse the temporarily lax internal security.

Where’d the Statue of Liberty come from?

My guess...and it's just a guess, is that it is likely a modded special encounter found only on the coastal overland map.

    Clockwork Revolution gameplay reveal

I should play WL3. It's another of those that I bought (on sale) and never launched. I never finished WL2 (, or played it for any great length of time). When the first concept art for it emerged, I started modeling the scorpion tank from the painting; even showed it to Max Kaufman in person...

Gameinformer's top 100 RPGs list is so bad...

Skyrim has aptly been described as like an inch deep ocean. One of the first things I did in the game was to equip a leather skullcap on my frilled Argonian PC; his many seven inch horn/spikes all disappeared from his scalp.

Gameinformer's top 100 RPGs list is so bad...

I bought Oblivion CE to see what this new (to me) studio was capable of making. I was impressed! I had high hopes for FO3. The shine wore off after exiting the sewers, and conversing with the city inhabitants. Being impressed wore off with the release of the first FO3 screenshots, and seeing...

Gameinformer's top 100 RPGs list is so bad...

I guess I need to play those at some point. I have ME1 & 2 installed, but have never launched them. Witcher 3 I won for free in a contest —day one; never played it past the tutorial area. It is too much like Witcher 2 than 1 for my taste. I quit Witcher 2 sometime after the Kraken fight, and I...

    More mutant wildlife

As I understood it... they were looking for another big baddie for the Fallout game, and had the ready made (for D&D) maquette on the shelf. This is true for gorillas, and Deathclaws are said to have been created using ape DNA, as well as samples from Jackson's chameleons.

    More mutant wildlife

The irony (to me) here is that the Deathclaws are based upon a fifty foot tall D&D monster. :smug: https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Tarrasque

    More mutant wildlife

The discussion is about thirteen foot tall pigeons, is it not? The S'lanter were also cut simply for being too much added work, with not enough time to do it. A dev quote mentioned them [loosely] as not really fitting the narrative. Myself, I have no problem with extreme examples of mutated...

    More mutant wildlife

Only as special encounters IMO. *Recall that the devs had plans for the PC to encounter their S'Lanter, but chose to omit them as too far off; it didn't fit in.

    Unpopular Opinion and Discussion thread

Do you remember when Amazon erased Orwell's 1984 from everyone's Kindle? (It proved they could do it.) Aside: Local files are great, it's the same argument made for collecting physical media. As far as local PDF's go (like Humble Bundle's fare), they are great, though the source links can be...

Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

I owned a PC that released six years before Fallout did; it could not recognize drives of more than 40 mb. *Forty megabytes; with 32mb max partition sizes. Speaking of... The first time I needed to upgrade a hard drive to fit a game was with Baldur's Gate; the drive cost $280, and BG1 filled it.

Fallout 4's Announcement Trailer.(THE BIG REVEAL!)

I have never played FO4 or F76. FO3 was bad enough, and FO4 looked like it was (in every way) worse off the mark than FO3. FO3 ruined the franchise for me —thanks Todd.:yuck: (I've a similar opinion of FO:NV btw. )

Fallout 2 mod Fallout et tu - Release v1.12

I'd assume that vault suits are essentially the PC's underwear, and that they are effectively considered to be wearing nothing; base sprite. I highly doubt that the art exists in the game, to show companion sprites wearing the (nothing) vault suit.
