I don't have a "top ten," but here's some games I like and fully recommend.
Burnout 3 Takedown
-I don't like most racing games, but this isn't a usual one. There's knocking dudes off the track or into oncoming traffic of whatever for one. And then there's a mode where you have to carefully guide your car into an intersection and cause massive damage.
Mass Effect 2
-I'm not a big fan of Mass Effect 1. I won't go into the details, but I fully expected what it did "wrong" to be worse in 2. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the things that were derp fixed (or removed, which disappointed me they couldn't think of a good fix for it.) Fun game, good story.
Borderlands
-Diablo with guns and (different) magic powers. I have a sniper rifle that fires bullets that set people on fire. And then I phasewalk to them (siren ftw) and use the Combustion Hellfire and everything dies. In fire
Gears of War (whole series)
-Manages to tell a story without telling it (and while telling it.) Solid gunplay and cover mechanic. Horde is immensely fun.
