RE: BOS power armor

Navarro only had 2 Vertibirds. I figured there was probably 3 tops. They could easily fit those on an oil rig. The Enclave was going to release the virus into the jet stream. That way they wouldn't have to cover a wide area. And, I think the Oil Rig was the Enclaves main base.

Who knows, the armor could've been a secret project. The less people that know, the less of a chance information about it will get out.

RE: BOS power armor

There would have to be more than three, just for ease of transporting all the people to and from places like Vault 13. They're not that big, cabin-wise.

Plus, you can wipe out Navarro before getting the GECK and Hakkunin still reports multiple Vertibirds attacking.

Then there's the wrecked one in Klamath. If they were so rare, you know they'd try to recover the wreckage.

1)Uh, how do you know that the BOS sent people to Norad to get this new PA, and how would they have known about it?
2)If the BOS is a shell of its former self, then why is there so much powerful equipment in the San Fransisco base?

I don't, but it's just as good as anybody elses explanation. And, it's a reason why the BOS didn't create the armor on their own.

I never said that. I just said the ones in tactics didn't make it back to CA in time for the different Power Armor to show up in FO2.

I think that you was only given the F1 power armor in fallout2 because you was only an initiate
and not a paladin.
In fallout1 they say that only the high knights/palladins are given the powerarmor.
So if BOS in the period between F1 and F2 developed an power armor they would probably give the normal powerarmor to the initiates.
And now this new powerarmor are only given to the paldins in the brotherhood.
Anyway it is just a teory.

I want to know why There wasn't any Adv. Power Armor in Fallout 1. Obviously the enclave was arund, because they wouldn't just SHOW UP. They were Remnants of some sort of Government, why didn't the BoS know of them in Fallout 1, it seems that they scouted the area...why didn't they find any parts of the Enclave. Oh, and how did the mutants get into the Military Base in fallout 2. Because you had to explode the entrance open, and if you say that they survived through the explosions, then why were the Enclave troopers there?

Your answers.

#1, Fallout 2 took place 80 years after Fallout 1.

#2, The Enclave only barely begun its campaign to wipe out the planet during Fallout 2, they were probably in hiding in Fallout 1.

#3, You can't judge a previously made game on new information given in its sequel. Someone could say "Hey why didn't this character in Fallout 3's DAD appear in Fallout 2?"

#4, Fallout 1 didn't encompass the large area, including the Pacific coast, that Fallout 2 did.

*Xotor thinks Landon didn't read the Holodisks well enough*

The workers escavating the Master's vats (the Military Base) were exposed to the FEV virus too long and thus became Mutants themselves.

Go in there and read the Holodisks left on the bodies of the dead Enclave Troopers.

RE: Your answers.

Not to mention the Enclave had 160 years to develop advanced power armor. They would have to have had more than what you see in Fallout 2 though.

Yes it does

>That still does not answer HOW
>they got in.

It most certainly does. The Enclave brought in slaves they bought from the wasteland to dig out the Vats. After getting a sample of the FEV virus and discovering the slaves went mad and mutated, taking out many Enclave Troopers as they climbed up the elevator shafts and stuff, they (the Enclave) blew up the entrance to seal them in there.

Maybe you need to read the holodisk inside the outside tents?

And if you're wondering how the Enclave made it to land, they DO have Vertibirds. The Vertibirds simply don't have enough range to scout the desert without a refueling base, so they created Navarro.

RE: Yes it does

You must have a different version than I do. Anyways, why the hell do you think I didn't know why they made Navarro? Whad' ya think I am, an IDIOT? Sheesh, the nerve of some people!

Read your message, it was quite ambigious.

I'm starting to think that...

Xotor is right...

Read the holodisks you can find in the crates in the tents outside the military base. Also, read the ones on the inside on the dead bodies. It goes in to detail about how the enclave escavated the military base, and why the door was sealed.

Also, it wasn't just the slaves that mutated, if I remember correctly. A few of the enclave people did as well.

As to why they started acting like the Master's mutants, rather than the Broken Hills ones, I have no idea. :)

I have my own theory someone else may have said it already but what if these are prototypes of the power armor of Fallout 1. Think about it the splinter fraction is running away the only armor they can find are the prototypes. They take what they can and run. So they find shelter in the midwest and set up a base. They dont have any original power armor so the manufacture this prototype and give it to soldiers. So go ahead and prove me wrong.

P.S. I suck at spelling and grammer

You´re right, Hellspawn, the new Power-Armor looks stupid! In fact, I think it REALLY sucks!!! Looks more like a typical, giger-type alien head/helmet, not like something an army would use...
Of course the regular PA didn´t look like that either, but at least it had this cool retro-style, that fitted perfectly into the Fallout universe and it was something new!
I do understand, that some marketing guys want something on the box, that makes it easy to recognize, which part of the "series" it is, so it has to look more "advanced" than the helmet on the FO2 box (or at least that´s what they seem to think), but THIS helmet is not a product of the Fallout world anymore. And btw, "loxley", there are lots of people, who could do something better. Though being able to "do it better" isn´t necessary for critizing something!

i COMPLETELY agree hellspawn, those new "suits" of power armor look really, REALLY gay, the old power armor looks awesome, atleast they could have came up with another cool looking armor and make it take place after fallout 2, dont u agree?
