Now here's a game that I could sink my teeth into :)

Looking good guys, and be sure to keep working on it as long as you see fit to insure that it's a top notch release.

What does Arcanum have to do with you lacking a graphics card?

AoD looks good, but I'm not too keen on the setting, honestly. Plus: my gaming days are over. Done with. Gone. Forever.

Well, if you exclude Flashgames, that is.

For no good reason it required an 8 MB card, and my comp only has an integrated 4 MB card. No Arcanum for me. The later Infinity Engine games are the limit of what it can handle.
 
Nah. I've had people offer me their old computers (computers considerably more powerful than mine) but if it runs the Fallouts and some stuff, I'm good.

I stopped upgrading as well. I'm fine with the computer my ex left behind 'cause she thought it was broken. It's a Pentium 4 with a half decent graphics card, though, so I can run Arcanum just fine. :P

I might buy one of those nice little Asus Eee pc's in the near future or a similar one from another brand. One can hardly call that an upgrade, though.

What are the rest of your specs? :)

That takes some dedication... most computers i had with those specs have broken already due to some part of the hardware failing.
 
My present computer is 5 years old and the only failure I had was keyboard and mouse...
Mostly due to mechanical damage.

I had only comp that I had to replace due to hardware failure was with mechanical damage too. It involved too much SFLing in Fallout 2 :) .
 
This game is one of the few that truly has my interest, and the Cthulhu based game they are making even more so.

I love their work on Age of Decadence and I'll definately buy it. It's not just the game itself but I do appreciate their way of community interaction and their honest way of doing public relations even more.
 
This game looks pretty cool. My only problem is that being a game with a lot of melee combat, it will end up with with a bunch of characters all one-to-two squares away just whacking on each other. If there is a good mix of ranged/melee (ranged like bows, crossbows, ranged magic attacked, etc...) then this should be pretty cool :)
 
Just remember how cool melee was in Fallout! Nothing can beat hitting the stealing little bastards in the Den into their groins with a super sledge :-)
 
How easy to mod will AOD be? Will they be releasing the developement tools such as mappers and stuff?

Looks cool, I will definitely be buying it.

*Blows the dust of the credit card in anticipation*
 
They said that modding tools are not a top priority (or even not a priority at all). In the end they want to produce a good singleplayer game and creating proper modding tools would take them even more time.

They also mentioned that they don't mind helping people who consider to use the engine (TGE) for their own RPGs.

Not to mention the cattle prod thrusts to lady's groin - a cheap replacement of rape :-) .
