It's ugly cause, they didn't want the driver to face his fear, when the car's reactor goes off, the driver can still go a head, with a little boost on his arse. :lol:

Whoa! I honestly thought a nuclear powered car in concept or actuality could only exist in Sci-fi. So they actually designed it? In the 50's no less! Grand thing you've found Frissy.

Also, that's one helluva weird car, especially the huge tail end is weird.
 
It does have a certain charm to it but I wouldn't drive that... the tail fins look kind of like the ones from a F16 and the wheels are too far from the extremities of the car, a speed bump could kill that 8)

Which was supposed to fly 'n shit. Again, totally awesome.

I could imagine that usual new American designer would build it into the heck of a Pick-Up truck.

Then the problem with the bumpers would be solved as well! ;)
 
It could definitely use a better design (the one without the tailfins looks slitghtly better though).

This is classic, though, and aligns well with the vision of the future during the 50's, with bases on the moon and jetpacks and so on.

While the car looks like it's been designed by Homer Simpson (remember that episode?) I'm more concerned about the massive radiation dose absorbed by the passengers as there's a nuclear reactor in the trunk. I wouldn't want to drive to school with that in the morning just to discover my hair and skin have fallen off upon arrival. Fun stuff.

That's pretty much the only thought that came to me when I saw the car, even though it really didn't look like it.
