Anything you liked that Bethesda added to the franchise?

Equipment degrade is a nice little addition in FO3 and Obsidian make it better in NV, then they remove it in FO4.

The way it was implemented though was kind of just tedious

Far Cry 2's gun jamming was worse. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea, but having enemies with 100% working guns and then having them constantly jam when you try using them is annoying.

Armour degradation is probably the only thing in New Vegas that affects me from time to time. I usually keep guns in decent enough condition that they don't mess up very often.

I actually kind preferred the older system. Sliders with number values are better for me because it's a lot easier to make minor adjustments and then revert back to whatever number they were before if I end up fucking something up. Fallout 4's is just too loose for me.

I have to agree. Sure I created a couple of characters for Fallout 4 that I really liked...but I'll never be able to make them again. Whilst with New Vegas yeah I'm somewhat more limited* but at least I can essentially save a character.

*Though I could just cheat and use the G.E.C.K and/or mods to create characters instead.

Power armor and z-axis movement - smoother 3rd person experience where the PC doesn't look like he's power shuffling when moving north-west.

Keep in mind I'm fucking autistic about my character's face and my most recent Skyrim character went through about 5 different noses over the playthrough.
I'm SUPER autistic myself, but I feel you can change EVERY part of the face in the fallout 4 character creator to me that matters a lot since there are lots of small things that can make a massive difference in the appearance of the face like, projecting of the mouth area, projection of the cheekbones, the midface (when I say projection I mean saggital projection). I sound autistic already......

I'd think something like the detail available in Fallout 4's system and the easily trackable numeric values of the old slider system would be perfect. I just like to be able to have some insurance that when I adjust the face I can't get back to how it looked before if I fucked something up or what to use that face again on another character.

I can totally help you with making characters, not to brag but I consistently make goodlooking characters you just need to make sure you get certain things right.

Well if I ever decide to break out the whip and ball gag to participate in the sado-mascochism that is playing Fallout 4 I'll shoot you a message :P

haha, its unfortunate that character creator couldn't have been in New vegas, or the graphics of fallout 4 in new vegas.

Bloatflies, mirelurks, protectrons, the new sentrybot, the new eyebot.

Pip-boy radio.

More terminals & hacking (as someone else already mentioned).

Weapon & armour degradation.

The radiation mechanic in FO4.

The original mirelurk design was the shit. I also liked yao guai but the design is basically a bear with mange.
Shiskebob was cool if a bit "over the top". Protectrons. Trogs/The Pitt. The new eyebot design is better than the original imo. Hellfire armor, though poorly designed for fallout, showed that the enclave was still making "improvements". The dolphin thing in fallout 4. Though there were no living ones in game I like that It suggests that there could be monsters out there.

I didn't really Dig on any of the factions tbh.

Automatron was fun, albeit I got it for free so I didn't mind something being fun for 30 minutes. Man I hope other people didn't actually pay for it.

I liked that too but I felt like there was more that they could've done to hint at all the nebulous monstrosities that live in the ocean so I put it in the missed opportunity pile.

It's a big pile.

From Fallout 3, i liked the idea of radio. It was probably the best addition, and the one they managed to actually handle great. Then comes the ideological struggles in Brotherhood (could have been done better, but point goes to Beth). Making the game in their own sub-universe on another coast was a right decision too, it allowed them to use series' landmarks while also work on their own story (that's more about F4 - but i didnt played it much). Protectron design was great, along with all of Adamowicz work - sadly, Bethesda leaned further to generic sci-fi in F4.
