ArcaniA - A Gothic Tale. Gothic ? Quite not ...

So is this game's structure more like Morrowind/Oblivion or is it more like the Witcher? I'm talking the world/exploration department.
I meant Morrowind is a good sandbox game. Gothic 4 Arcania is just crap. Its neither a good RPG you never get any dialogue or choices really nor is it a good sand box world you can only enter the next chapter, after you completed most of the quets in some area.

*Edit
The best part of the game is though when you exit the "jungle area" (which is just a 5 min walk ... nothing more) hit the door of some camp with refugees to see a closed door of a big city in the distance just to get told "hey you cant get in here!" ... hehe guess what kind of first thing you will see when the DLC is out ? I think 30% of the whole island cant be entered because it will be sold later (If they havnt already)

Aw man that sucks. I'd probably give it a go if it were open world like Morrowind but I hate that whole chapter approach. I even hated it in the Witcher and that was good game.

Also, that whole "can't get in there" crap is bullshit. I won't buy it just for that.

I had hoped it would be a better game, but well... Jowood is/was the Publisher, so hoping for something is a bad idea.

At least the game made me smile because in the local store they put it alphabetically under G, most likely because Jowood wanted it this way.

It stopped having anything related to Gothic when the third game came out. From there, it is merely a slippery slope.

BTW: ArcaniaA, ARCaNiA or whatever the fucked it's written is crap.

I'll just paraphrase the ending line from the RPG Codex's review of Arcania to sum it up:

"Gothic 4 - it's not worth it even if it shipped with hookers and booze."

Gothic 1 and 2 have their place. Gothic 3 is different and buggy but there's still fun to be had there. Risen is the real Gothic 4 in all but name, though those that did not like the first two Gothic games to begin with will not like Risen.
