Not everyone. The guy I mentioned, CT Phipps, he does not share the opinions of some on the site but he can roll with that and actually engage in discussion with said members rather than prejudge and devolve into angrish like you just did with your replies to Walpknut. In fact there are others who like Fallout 4 along with 3 etc. and they are not inherently hostile (or are actually open-minded). They may disagree with others around too and even snark back but they can understand and accept that people don't share their opinions.

The only opinion the entire website shares is a strong distaste for bethesdas fallout. Even then we have exceptions. Such as @CT Phipps and @SpookyBees and @Tagaziel etc so uhhh makin a bit of a snap judgment based on our biggest cunt's post there bud.

Welp after going through this thread I am glad I fell asleep, so I didn't have to waste my brain cells on this 'discussion'.

So, king of the worms, let me ask you a question. Do you truly think that people will remember or look back in fondness at the garbage that is shitout 4? Sure, there will be some, but majority of the fans gave up on it, because it is a terrible Fallout game. To prove it, look at the steam data and see how many people for the first two weeks and how little there were later down the line. The game had a record number of players, but nowadays almost nobody plays it. Why, because it sucks. It is another run-of-the-mill shooter with a fallout name on it.

I came to this series with shitout 3, which I enjoyed when I was younger and hopped to New Vegas later. I spent 2 years hyping myself for a crapfest that was shitout 4 and after 90 hours with all the dlcs I gave up and uninstalled it. It was fallout in name only.

Similar to Breath of Fire 6, Prototype 2, etc. After that I played Fallout 1/2 and I was impressed. Getting used to the UI and graphics was a bit hard, but once I was sucked in, I completed my first playthrough and had more fun in the span of 30 hours and than I had with shitout 4. It is old, dated, but the mechanics, good writing and characters make up for any issues I have got with it. Fallout 1/2 are not perfect, but they are like rough diamonds to me, while shitout 4 is just a turd with a sprinkles on it.

In the end, you are free to think whatever you want, but the way I see it, you are just biased towards bugthesda, who have proven time and time again they are just a lazy and scummy company.

Dumbing down every game since morrowind, paid mods, creation club etc.

No, we look at Fallout 1-2, they aren't perfect games, but they're fucking GOOD at what they are supposed to be, turn based RPG's.

There are quite a lot of people here that say Fallout New Vegas is the best Fallout game.
I am a modder of Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, if I didn't like those games I wouldn't make mods for them.

I am a fan of the classic games, I also enjoy Fallout New Vegas more than Fallout 3. I can point out the good and bad in all the games and I don't hate people who like Bethesda games (TES was one of my favorite game series until Skyrim became boring for me).
But I also have to agree that the new Fallout games are not really Fallout. They are more like spinoffs (kinda like Command and Conquer Renegade was a spinoff), the series is now like that, but even many players who enjoyed and loved Fallout 3 are coming out and say they don't enjoy Fallout 4. Many Fallout 4 fans don't like the classic games, others don't even like Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas.

What comes from a game series when each generation of fans keep not enjoying the next sequel and many who enjoys the sequels do not enjoy the prequels?
The answer is: It became a mess that keeps losing track of what it is supposed to be.

Fallout now is like a lab rat, Bethesda will try and see what works and then implement it on the next The Elder Scrolls game.

It will always be like this: Fallout is the wacky crazy shooter adventure/exploring game while TES will always be the darker and more serious fantasy adventure/exploring game.

TES was always more popular than the Fallout games in terms of Bethesda sales and modding community anyway.

Indeed, I love Fallout 3 and was grossly disappointed by Fallout 4 but still think of F4 as better than most games.

Fallout 1 is my least favorite Fallout of them.
