Are there any unarmed mods out there?

    Anyone know of any MODs that make viable and fun the option of playing the game completely unarmed from beginning to end.

    I currently have almost 200% unarmed and a combat shotgun with 20 or less skill still delivers much more damage.

    Maybe I am missing something..... ??

    i think that's why the spiked knuckles, power fist and mega power fist exist. bare fists only do so much

    You're talking Fallout 1, I assume? Because unarmed is hella overpowered in Fallout 2.

    Yes, power first is your solution. It still won't be as efficient as a turbo plasma rifle, but nothing beats standing toe-to-toe with a mutant and punching him in the eyes.

    Isn't that a silly thing to want, though? I mean, a drunk Dick Cheney could pump with some buckshot for more damage than Bruce Lee could ever hope to hit you for. Fists can only do so much.

    No I am talking Fallout 2. Just wondering....

    Yes fists can only do so much but a master of unarmed would be like a master of the martial arts up close they could use two fingers to puncture your eye sockets or cripple any limbs. So far at 212% I am still not landing many crits and such.

    Unfortunately raising your unarmed only increases your accuracy. If you want to do more damage you need more strength or the bonus HtH perk. That's infinitesimal, though. What you really want is to do more criticals, and that means having more luck, having the Finesse trait, and getting the critical related perks.

    Also, more action points, since that allows you to attack more/therefore do more damage.

    EDIT: since this is vaguely related, I was wondering: has any one ever made a kick weapon? For example, say, steel-toed boots? Or one of those underhanded shoes with a knife sticking out of the front of it? Maybe a, dare I say it?, power FOOT?

    This always seemed like a missing possibility to me.

    Yeah, the masters in San Fran really should of taught you some kind of exotic fighting moves.

    There are other types of kicks and punches you can use as your unarmed skill goes up, piercing punch or something I think it's called... One of the kicks, aimed, is something like 9 AP.

    An extremely lethal HTH move would be worth that, as opposed to the garbage "special" kicks and punches you do get.

    Fist of the North Star exploding pressure point attack or something. Would of fit nicely into the Fallout universe, anyway.

    Shit, someone should make a FONS mod where your attacks can cause people to explode.

    All the animations are already there...

    An awesome HtH build naturally would have

    Bonus HtH attacks,
    Bonus HtH damage,
    Slayer,
    Bonus move x2

    Trust me - the bonus move really helps - with slayer and powerfists you can be hitting 90+ damage on wanamingos in the eyes for only 3AP, combine that with 10AP and 4 extra moving AP and you can totally kick groups of anything's collective asses!
