Are they tring to reinvent the Golden Axe?

Golden Axe was mega fun. Simple side-scrolling action with some varied characters that gained abilities as you progressed levels. I'll never forget the odd-looking riding creature with the big beak, tail, and two legs.

That remake looks like crap with other game themes put in. Pitiful.
