I am also up for The Bear Tribe. And someone skilled could do special statue of Bear Dude to be placed in there.

"You see a statue of the Great Bear. Locals say it's only thanks to his work that they are existing. What a silly myth."

In for the Bear Tribe +1. Like the idea of a statue, just like in Shady Sands in the middle of the town.

Admin should create a poll for this with the most popular 5-6 suggested names. Silencer, my man?!

Nah, in all seriousness no need for more kudos. While the Bear Tribe would be cool, it doesn't really make sense for them.

I too am on board with something spirit related for the name. That's my comment on all this. I'm mostly staying out of this for the players to make the final choice. It's all about the players, right? *troll face*

Good one, Ardent!

Killap, you are able to create a poll for the topic, right? As a moderator and all.

Is there an option to just leave it as is? Primitive Tribe on the WM sounds ok for me, aswell as staying true to the original Docs.

Yes, that's an option. But keep in mind that the developers did not plan on calling the location "Primitive Tribe." That was just the temp name, but it was cut from the game before so much as a design doc was drawn up, so it never got an "official name."

All the same, if enough people are opposed to us changing it, then it can remain as-is.

Anyway, I'm currently leaning toward these two options:

If we name it after the tribe: Spirit Walkers

If we name it after the location: Umbra Valley

Umbra is a bit of an obscure word that can mean shadow, spirit, ghost, apparition, etc. It also has a nice tribal sound to it (at least to me), so it seems fitting. "Valley" could be replaced with some other geographical term; I'm not attached to it.

I'm not decided by any means, but I thought I'd share the direction my mind is currently heading in.

How about the "Moonwalkers". Michael would approve. :P

Ban pleaz!

@Dravean
Spiritwalk would be cool. I think Umbra would really sum it up. Face it, "Arroyo" is an obscure word too. Old school fans of Fallout seem to be a more literate crowd. If they can appreciate the significance of an obscure settlement name like "Arroyo", I think they will appreciate "Umbra" just as well.

I like both these options.

Just Umbra, perhaps? Maybe Umbra Shore since they are on the shore? Hmmm.

+1 for Umbra/Umbra Tribe/Umbra Shore. IMO it has this "tribal vibe", the same as Arroyo has

Ursa = bear, Umbra = spirit. Ursumbra?

(It's clunky, but we're brainstorming here. )

With regard to plain Umbra, naming the place like its a town or city doesn't make much sense to me. It's not much more than a cave and a bunch of tents.

Spirit Walkers seems a lot more appropriate. Name the people. They are a far more salient feature then a mere camp site.
