Autumn/Atom = same voice actor?

First time out of the vault
I dont know if general Autumn was in fo2, since im still on fo1, but wen i first heard him speak in fo3 i thought it was general atom, that rag-closthed crazy-atom bomb worshipper from Megaton became a general for enclave? inside spy? CLEVER bethesda!! (What would happen if I've blown up megaton? no church of atom = no enclave? oh! the drama!!! the dillema! great story telling, you really shine through bethesda!!)

but my hopes and dreams were shattered when i learned the spelling of his name...

im pretty sure they're voiced by the same actor.

-anyone else got confused?

Now that's a plot twist. And he could be just one of a whole race of Bombs....

From Space.

I watched the credits at the end.

TBH, I was really surprised how many voice actors they had.

Because, in-game, a lot of the voices were very similar. As I was playing, I thought I counted about 10 different actors. But in the credits, there are more like 50.

They didn't have as many as say, Deus Ex, but even that game suffered from "aren't you that guy I met earlier?" syndrome.

I guess that's the price you pay for having voice for every single character. Some are going to sound the same, no matter what.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas had 340 voice actors. And the celebrity actors amongst them were well cast (Toreno is exquisitely done by James Woods, and Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Penn are well-cast as Tenpenny/Pulaski). But hey, it's a matter of cost-benefit considerations.

I think it's kind of more grating in Fallout 3 because certain roles are always done by the same person; the same guy doing all the old men, the same girl doing all the old women. If you switch between Agatha's Station and dead-Three Dog GNR Radia, it's hilarious how Agatha and Margaret have exactly the same voice.

Well what can one expect when they somewhat always get away with it in reviews and people still buy the game in large numbers. To say it that way, as long it doesnt hurt sales probably there will never occur any kind of change. Same to animations, AI and the writting. Why invest aditional resources and money in this areas when people still buy it anyway ... (thx to the excelent marketing)
