Ok folks, I have to admit being a bit unimaginative on this issue, but here's the question-

Where did you get your avatar? What are the good places to find good Avatars? ANd did you make your own?

Me, I stole it from Interplay.
 
Mine's from the comic "V for Vendetta". I grabbed a pic of the front cover from some fan site, photoshopped out all the text and resized it. In the large version you can see where I did the clone brush, but minimized it looks ok. My last one was just a screenshot from the FO2 mapper. I made them myself because I had no idea where to look for avatars besides Google image search, which didn't turn up much.
 
Dude, this must be the 3rd thread on this subject, and the 5th time I'm saying this:

My avatar is a scan from my old Greek textbook. It's a Roman copy of an original Greek statue depicting the cyclops from the Odyssee.

On Asshats, I use a pic of Bob Hoskins in a scene from the Long Good Friday. Everywhere else, I use this same avatar.

I, for some reason, really liked this head when I first saw it.

Mine is a picture my friend took of me the last time I was on leave. He put it on his fotolog account and i stole it from there. A quick change of resolution, and thats it. It's not a good size for actually seeing my face, but that might be a good thing. It's also subliminal advertising for my favorite beer.

Well, the thing is, I think most people have something they're big fans of, find a pic of it and just use it as their avs. Take, for example, your avatar, or mine, or Ozrat's, or Rosh's, or Miro's, and so on and so forth

Or you stumble on a pic somewhere online and think "that'd make a cool avatar"

I don't think there're any websites I'd classify as "a good source for avatars". Depends on your taste, I suppose, some people would love going to the Games Workshop website or LotR websites and find fantasy pics to cut up, others would not...
 
I picked the image and used some new photoshop filters i wanted to try out.

It looked quite good on my old monitor, kind of showed how the room i have the computer looks like, by analogy, but now i have a new monitor, and it`s time to make a new one.

Welsh if you have a pic you like i can resize it or do whatever is needed to change it to an avatar, just tell me if you find one.

But I will stick with what I got. I was looking for a new image, but they are all a bit big.

It would be nice if our avatars could be a bit bigger though.

See? Just find a good one, and i`ll do the dirty work, with several sizes to fit diferent avatar limits in diferent places.
 
Mine is Rizzo the Rat of Muppet fame.

It took me about ten big websites of Muppet avatars before I could find this one.
 
The Google Image Search were used in my search for the worlds greatest avatar, quite sucsessful as you probably allready figured out yourself.

I hacked and slashed at Interplay's "PIPBoy"(or falloutboy or vaultboy or what ever the hell you wanna call the little guy) and put a crowbar and a glock in his hand.
 
Well, i had this avatar a while ago, changed to a more Fallouty avatar and then their site wen't down so i'm back this one.

This is an image of Spawn from the film. I simply added a little green faze to the eyes and then banged Rogue Hex across the front. Nothing special here.

You do realise the film sucks when compared to both to comics and the HBO series, right?
