Awaken Mod Help Thread (possible spoilers)

Did you just stumble upon the BOS or did the overseer send you there?

IIRC you have to have done something or visited another map (not talking about freeing the scribe) before you can get quests from the BOS.

Train parts

Hoj.

I cant get to the old factory to get the last train part, because Ive killed Noah.
How to put that location on the world map?
Or is there no chance?
The link posted a few pages ago is dead.
 
I have a little problem with second mission for BOS: after I killed mutants in a small camp near bos base, I went back to bos and game engine show me message that there isn't some *.mis file. What should I do now? If I were in bos base before this mission, I didn't have any problems. Maybe I should try to enter the main map not interior? Anybody know how to solve this problem?

p.s. I checked interior and main base - it doesn't help

p.s.2 "failed to read team 0 from town 5.mis" that was the error message.
 
Corrupt save game?

Try loading an earlier save and entering the base, or instead of going straight back to the bos base try going to a different town. Then if you can enter the town and return to the world map successfully go back to the base and try.

Sorry all I can think of at this time of night, without the mod installed.
 
I have tried, but it doesn't help. I can enter towns but no bos base, it looks like after doing this quest something have to change in bos base, but there isn't required files "...team_0..." :( Did anybody have this problem? I will try to load another save.


...after 2 hours:
I loaded another save but it doesn't help, after compleat second mission for bos, I can't enter the bos base. I will try to download awakenPL version and move my save files.

My mail is zigzag85@gmail.com, I'am looking for good file (without "failed to read team 0 from town 5.mis" error) for bos interior and base.
 
Contact the Awaken team direct, they are the best people to figure out what's wrong. Though I would think your game has been corrupted as I've not heard of anyone else with this particular problem.

Try reinstalling FOT and then reinstalling awaken.
 
hello, i have just finished awaken working for SOH, i was wonderin if you can play as a raider, i always liked em;-) has any1 done this???
 
questions

i read you cannot work for both soh and bos? at what point have you decided which one your working for? i collected the money from the small town for soh but thats it so far. then i got a mission to go attack some bos but.. i love bos why would i wanna do that... can i still join bos or is it too late?

i also read slavers were more interesting? i did trappers instead of slavers did i miss out ona lot? do future cities besides barter town ever have more slavers or trappers?

how many joinable npc's are there in the game? i have the scribe and the dog so far but i wish i had more! in the brc i noticed a robot but i couldnt repair it because i hadn't brought along a kit and it self destructed was that a joinable npc?


i've restarted to join the bos and i have become a cadet but cannot get anymore quests how did anyone get any? is it that script error from the lord paladin? and if it is how do i fix that?

i cannot seem to fix the power generator or computer at the soh base there doesn't even seem to be an interactable location to repair... i have 125repair skill and a repair kit on me and i wasn't really told if i needed a part it just seems like this task isn't functioning?

oh and btw where are the steroids found? or is something like psycho or buffout just what you need?

and after reading this post i decided to explore more and i found a lot of places and boosted my party size from 3 to 5 myself dog,BoS-scribe, seuda(sp), tess who am i missing and where can i find them?

are there any 5or6passenger cars? the coverage only holds 4 and i have 5party members and using two cars at once is too hard to control

giving the super cattle prod to the raider hangman doesnt do anything...
 
Hi! I'd like to play a game of awaken with character with custom portrait. You know, like Mad Max or Predator or something. That's how i always played classic tactics. But when I put the same .zar files into gui/char directory of Awaken, it simply doesn't work. Can someone please help me?
 
Doesn't work how? Does it make pink elephants fly across the screen, or do they simply not show in the rogues portrait gallery?

If it's the latter in awaken/tables there should be two text files, male.txt and female.txt just add the filename of your portrait (less the .zar) to the list. If it's the former I can't help you. :)
 
Sorry for another bump...

I have a few questions, both of which are probably noob ones: I seem to experience a glitch every once and a while in the game that makes my damage resistance plumet to -25%. Then when I equip Combat Armor, it goes to 15%. (Pretty sure it shouldn't do that with 8 Endurance and Toughness perk) Happened to me twice. Once in Rust, other at Raiders. (For an hour I was wondering why I kept dying so freakin easily)



Secondly, where/who is Quentin?

Quentin? If he's the BOS scribe he's sleeping off a dui somewhere, but don't take my word for it. It's been a long time since I played Awaken.
 
Only thing I could mention about the glitch was it happened in/around combat. In Rust Town, I noticed that it dropped to the -25 after killing all the dogs (they rushed me at the same time... which was new). The second time in the Raider camp was after I had killed the first few raiders in my spree. (The boss and the guys eating).

Couldn't figure out how to fix it, just had to load my backup save.


Quen is in the BOS? Oh, explains a lot. He probably died in the assault the first time I played. Thanks!
 
Sorry I meant is there anything you do such as equip a weapon/item/armour or take any drugs. Trouble with mods is there's tends to be a lot of custom stuff that alters who knows what.

Sorry again I was thinking about the BOS scribe you need to find to enter the Brotherhood not Quentin.
 
Nah that scribe was Gisbourne, already have em. Still can't find Quentin, whoever he is.

And I just had that glitch happen to me again. Did nothing different, walked into "town," and opened fire on some hostiles. I entered Necropolis, with the gun shipment, and the small group attacked me again. When I checked my Dam Res after the battle, it was 25% (Supposed to be 50% with Toughness and Combat Armor). Left the town, came back, and it was back to 50%.
 
Quentin should be in the SOH Base (not outpost).

Do you get the problem just in Awaken? Try backing up your save games and then uninstalling deleting the awaken folder and reinstalling.

My install of Awaken is totally gutted, so I can't look to see if there's anything that might be affecting you.
