Best Gaming Music

Bionic Commando was a rad game. I actually have the novelization of that and Metroid in a drawer somewhere...

NES had the best music.

I think we're all forgetting the greatest, though...

Tetris.

Tony Hawk's Underground has some really cool music, like Strike Anywhere and Refused.

Nothing can match up to the brilliant music that is featured in the Legacy of Kain games, or Halo for that matter.

I like the Hitman 2 music, though it gets a bit annoying after a while.

And yes Malk, the Tetris music is great.

Interplay stopped with the music dload on their site. Evil, evil I say!

Good thing I dloaded almost everything, even the Fallout music (even though it's a bit lame).

*edit*: does anyone know where I can download the music from Medieval: Total war?? :?:

The music in the intro to the game Albion is just amazing!! and then after that I really like the music in heroes of might and magic 3, and also the music from WC2!!:D

Amen. My favorite is Breezy. So good I learned to play it on my guitar. Mmmm... I'm gonna go play it now.

Castlevania(Most all of them!)
Final Fantasy(Same as above)
Baldurs Gate
Fallout(Both of them)
Britneys Dance Beat(All of them....?)

Mohrg

I like the music in GTA3 (didn't play Vice City, but you can't beat the tracks from the Scarface soundtrack) and the Fallout Intro songs. But my all time favorite would probably be the Mechwarrior 2 music, which you could listen to on a regular CD player if I remember correctly.

Nope. Trent's been canned from the music composing. I don't remember what the deal was, but if you want to know, there's some people I'll ask to find out.

Ah, so the rumors were right afterall. Sure, if you know who is the "new guy" then break the news :)

I don't think id has announced who is taking over the reigns for the music, but I'm not really sure if there will be music in it anyway: I think they said that they just want ambient sound. Who knows.
