Best movie music

Naturally, the soundtrack to The Cowboy Bebop Movie was great. All of the music from the series is awesome, too. Yoko Kanno is an amazing composer.

Even though I don't believe in God or Jesus, I really did enjoy the music in Prince of Egypt. I also agree with Malkavian on 8 Mile. I'm a big Eminem fan, and proud of it. He's hot.

Brazil (theme), Wildstyle, Blues brothers... hmmm.... that's all I can come up with now...

You know, we might be at polar opposites of the political specturm, but damn, I am liking you more and more! How the fuck could I have forgotten Brazil, let alone Blues Brothers?!

All That Jazz. Prince of Egypt reminded me of a musical I saw in Utah called, mysteriously enough, Utah. Eminem sucks.

I had to do a Blues Brothers field show in marching band when I was in high school... I have since lost all ineterest in that movie because of how many times I had to play the damn songs from it. The music was fun to play... once or twice... not the thirty plus times I had to play it every week.

Politics isn't everything ;)

Edit: Oh yeah, Amelie too had a soundtrack which seconded the action pretty well IMO. Wasn't a soundtrack I'd buy though.

And the 8th mile sucked donkey balls. One of the worst movies I made the mistake to rent.

Blade Runner has to be my all time favorite. Every scene where you're flying through the city with Vangelis playing always gives me chills.

John Carpenter's The Thing. Great, spooky stuff. All his movies have similar synthesizer music, but they're done extremely well. The Escape movies are very cool, too. And you can't forget the theme to Big Trouble in Little China!

Jurassic Park. Catchy at first, but then it gets stuck in your head and people start dying. When I first saw the movie I thought it was funny how the theme borrowed from the alien chorus music in Close Encounters.

Predator. One of those theme songs that always gets stuck in my head. Done by Alan Silvestri, and it's way too similar to his Back to the Future soundtrack.

Really? Really really? No kidding?
Oh boy, you just made my day! :D
Somebody luvs me! At last...

Hm...

My favourite soundtrack? Pf. I remember I used to really like the score from "The Abyss", but I don't seem to even have that cd anymore. And the score from "Batman" by Elfman was really neat too, imo. That Elfman (don't know if I'm spelling his name right) has made some of the best scores: the music from "Edward Scissorhands" was also made by him, I think. And The Simpsons tune. Very personal sound, very distinct. Nice. "Sweet and Lowdown" by Woody Allen has a great score too: lots of Django Reinhardt, whose music is pure genius. Actually, most of Allen's flicks have great scores. Lotsa bluesssssssssssssssss.

So many, so many...

Well for today i`ll just name a few, starting with Blade Runner(got the cd), Cinema Paradiso (Enio Morricone rules), Once upon a Time in the West(Morricone rules), Once upon a time in America (maybe the best one ever, Enio rules), The Untouchables (whoelse but Enio Morricone), Merry Christhmas Mr. Lawrence, The Last Emperor and Wuthering Heights, by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Gattaca by Michael Nyman and many many more.

- Pulp Fiction

- Desperado

- Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain

- Apocalypse NOW!

- Platoon

- The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
