Best Post-Apocalyptic Survival Vehicle

I'm guessing something along the lines of small european cars that consume a lot less gas than any of those tanks and rustics, that can be much more easily repareable in an emergency (can you imagine having to change a tire on one of those big carry-all trucks with a bunch zombies or ghouls or something coming down on you?)...

Those vehicles are awesome. Huge, armored, all-wheel drive, and in many living quarters. I'd take the second one since it's an amphibious house. In any PA circumstance I'd say going out to sea is safe, but you'd then need some sort of home and the vehicle would be it. Sure you'd run out of supplies, but with the mobility you can come ashore somewhere safe gather what you need then pack up and leave.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

I'd be afraid of what may lurk in the PA waters though, Nuclear Zombie Whales, man alive those would probably scare the stuffing out of any seafaring survivor.

Anyways, aside from that I'd pick something disposable, people in survival situations who get too attached to their vehicle tend to die in it easier as they fight to get it going.

Probably a cargo van of sorts, and keep a motorbike strapped to the roof at all times in case the van dies.

However I would opt for a diesel version, simply to convert it to veggie gas, not because of some eco-hippie reasons, but because it's easier to grow a field of barley than it is to drill for oil, however that means having a fixed point of operations.

Now that is another interesting thought, I'd stick to grain elevators, why? They're not likely to attract zombies like malls and other human creature comforts, there's normally plenty of farmland nearby to grow edible crops on, and a store of mouldering grain that can be used as dirty fuel as it's no good to eat anymore.

And if all else fails, light the bastard up if it's going to be taken from you, bring those bastards with it while you get away in your cube van or motorbike, all you have to do is follow the tracks to the next elevator and start again! :D :P

No offense to anyone, but that list fucking sucks without the JL-421 Badonkadonk.

Camel. Seriously. Just read Cobalt-60.
Indeed, animals are the best but as far as non-living vehincles go, I'd suggest a steam car, though, to my knowledge, one hasn't been made in decades.

Of course I'd prefer the DeLorean time machine myself, preferably the post 2015 version but with some petrol, any version would work.

Toyota pickupp truck! Can take allmost anything and can be repaired with allmost anything.

This is what is used in somalia and other countries that resemble the postapocalyptic world.

I won't vote. These will never win against nice, simple motocorss

Desert can eat its sand! Or something else

Hehe I remember that Loxley. But on similar idea, the cars from Far Cry 2 would be ideal. No need for fuel, if it breaks down just turn the wrench and it will repair itself.

There's not gonna be easy access to gas in PA. Therefore, these all fail.

Thus, you'd either use bicycles, or remodel the cars to work like in Flinstones =)

can also be modified to run on high grade home made alcohol, if needed.

Well, if the zombies take over, you might want to go with something like this-

If you can make it solar powered, perhaps by making allowing its coating to absorb solar power and thus energize...

Plus it has a nightclub and a bar.
We could be swinging through the apocalypse.
