Bethesda gets FOOL rights, Interplay gets $2 million

I think it was mentioned somewhere that the game would have been a MMO with thousands of players online at the same time and all visible (within the player's range, of course), but I'm not quite sure, either.

I'm bending for this option nevertheless because that's how the whole game sounded like.

I remember there was a discussion about servers a year or so ago that Chris was involved in but I'm not sure if they said anything about player count in that discussion.

The TLA specified that a session required a minimum of 101 players to start a game with a minimum upper limit of 1000 players.

So sick and fucking tired of Interplay. I used to love them back in the days they were putting out Black Isle stuff, Fallout and Fallout 2, PST, and a whole range of amazing stuff.

But ever since they began the slide downhill, destroying everything that is Fallout, putting out FOBOS and planning FOBOS 2, cancelling Van Buren, CLOSING Black Isle, and making stupid fucking decisions at every turn.

I just want them to die (the company, in a figurative sense meaning no more Interplay, not the employees themselves). Not only do I not want a Fallout MMO - I don't want to see one of my all time favourite series watered down, trashed and shit on any more than it already has been by being turned into another WOW clone - but I don't want Interplay to fucking survive at all!

As crappy as Fallout 3 was at times, NV was amazing, and I still think that Fallout is better off with Bethesda than with Interplay.

Those stupid fuckwits don't deserve to have a company anymore, fuck Herve Caen.

blame herve and his titus company, who bought interplay years ago ... after becoming c.o of interplay herve started to sell the company product's rights to make money. He managed to have a terrible administration that literally put interplay out of its misery once ... interplay resurrected but his administration skills seems to be the same ... interplay after Brian Fargo to me is no longer interplay, its titus interactive.

i just wonder what they will do to get out of this crater they dig for themselves ... mrm ... not hard to guess ... perhaps sell the legal rights of good games developed by other authors ... like baldur's gate.

Too bad the parasite won't just sell the company to someone who will manage to get Interplay on it's feet again. This is a bit off-top, but two of my favorite childhood videogame universes, Fallout and Command&Conquer (especially C&C) ended up in such a miserable state, that it makes me want to weep quietly in the corner of my room
