Better Use From Shotguns?

I'm working on new version of F2wedit, where you can make *.bmp files in 8bit format and in original size of image of selected item. I hope this will help you works on your own images to your new items.
Probably I will make this today.
When I finish it I will help you with your problems.

EDIT:
@Judaeus Apella
I just made test version of F2wedit with more advanced function "Save as *.bmp":

- This wroks only for image of item in inventory (left image).
- It saves image as 8 bit (256 colors) with original size of image from "*.frm".
- And Hint over the image shows the original size of image.
- image is saving in default directory: <Game>\bmp\*.bmp
- extension of the saved image is in this format:
<image>.bmp

you can edit this saved bmp in MS Paint. It saves colors in the Fallout pallete.

AND REMEMBER!!!
Always edit image and save your work in 8bit format (256 colors)!!!

So after tuning/changing your image you can easy convert this to *.frm by Alchemy

And if you do not know how to add your new frm image then READ CAREFULY my posts. I wrote shortly about it earlier.
Well, here is small help:
Pictures (as frm files) are listed in data/art/inven/inven.lst

Today I will try to finish new version of F2wedit with new image saving functions.

Ok, I just made and upload new version of F2wedit.
As I wrote earlier, you can save image to bmp 256 colors (8 bit) to:
<Fallout2>\Data\Art\Inven\Bmp\*.bmp - inventory frm
<Fallout2>\Data\Art\items\Bmp\*.bmp - ground frm

Then you can edit/change those bmp files in MS Paint and will be compatible with Alchemy and could be easy convert to *.frm.

Remember, after editing in MS Paint save images as 256 colors!

You can save your new frm in any folder.
Go to F2wedit, from main menu\tools select "Add new inven *.frm".
You can easy add your new frm!

I hope that this will help you and other peoples with editing items pro files :)

Attention:
While using F2wedit do not use any multimedia player like WinAmp or so!

I think the way your program is loading and saving those pictures is corrupting the colors. I saved the explosive rocket as bmp as a test, then blew it up in Paint Shop Pro, and it has bright green dots on it. I think its still messing up. :( Sorry to tell you this.

Program loading and showing frm pictures using color pallete from Alchemy tool. I tested a lot of images made by f2wedit and then I edited they in MS Paint, then convert to frm by Alchemy. All is ok.

I think that you do not know at all how to work on bmp's and frm' images. Its too complicated for me to describe you how to do it, so better go to:
- Fallout Modding FAQ http://modguide.nma-fallout.com/#Graphics
- Fallout Modding Wiki http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Fallout_2_tutorials_-_art

There are a lot and good tutorials how to make or edit images for new frm's.

And question. Why do you want to work in Paint Shop Pro? There is easy and enuogh editor MS Paint. As I wrote few times, use this Paint, because saves Fallout pallete colors in image (if you edit it in 256 colors (8 bit) ).

Sorry to tell you this.
Good you tell me about :) Thanks.

Why? More functions because its a real paint program, not some freebee peice of crap that came with windows, its very easy to use, and I have 5, 7, and 8. I also have Photoshop 5 and 6.
