Seems to me the normal setting on the pc demo is equivalent to the hard setting on the 360 demo.
Levine said that the Xbrick had autoaim etc. pc version didnt.

Even though it has been said that 360 has an autoaim it can be actually turned off.

Holy shit, I just played the demo, and it definitely brought back that System Shock 2 feeling of "I don't want to go into that dark hallway, where the creep voices are".

I jumped about 3 times.

To me that's exactly what Bioshock lacks. It indeed is creepy but not half as much as System Shock 2. There seems to be too much action for it to be really creepy. But it's probably because I played the demo on my 360 since my computer cannot run it ( which I guess doesn't feel at all as playing on a pc, playing sat in a couch, 2 meters away from the screen with a gamepad ). I still love the game though and I'll probably buy it.

ok,i tried the demo now.The game runs well in Windows xp .but i encountered a sound problem while i was trying the game in windows Vista.
after the plane crashes the sound goes off ,and there is a problem with the V-Sync under windows vista .It is as if the V-sync is Disabled.when i turn around the camera you can see these lines on the screen as if the image is cut in half for a split second.

I'm not a big shooter fan, but the great atmosphere makes me wanting to get it..

I can't believe the demo ran so smooth on my PC (even with the graphic details pretty high.) Makes me wonder if my ol'pc would be able to run Beth Fallout 3.

Medium difficulty was too easy and Hard was locked.

but i think that if i play it on release on Hard i'll be scared enough. :)

probably because the combat is so hectic. i dunno, i was pretty much on my toes.

i think that after playing through it on hard, i'll do it again on easy or with cheats, so i can really take my time and look around. there is so much to see and so much to discover...

damn ... the game is really sweet,i have already played the demo a couple of times,i guess ill go for the game as soon as it is out !
but i still wonder why the sound doesn't work under Windows Vista .

I don't know those little sisters seem plenty enough creepy to cover the whole game. The game can certainly make you jump, between the 360 and pc versions I must of played the demo half a dozen times yet on my last run though (just to look around) I ran smack into an opponent as I went around a corner. I've killed them previously enough times, and I knew they were coming but I must of misjudged the timing and it made my heart beat faster for a couple of minutes.

I'll probably get the 360 version primarily because I don't want to end up in the same situation as with GRAW2, the game runs fine at first but midway through during a really pitched battle my pc couldn't handle it. Also since it runs so well with the 360 controller and given my bad arm I'd probably end up using that instead of the keyboard, so no advantage there.

I'm with the above, I think the creepiness is there, if not more so than SS-2. I'm still trying to get used to using the right click to switch between weapons and plasmids.

I will say, it's very fast paced.

i rebinded that to mouse 4 and some other stuff.

remember that you can bind an instant attack after switch as well. that sure will help on hard setting i'm sure.

Ack, didn't even think of key-binding. Thanks for the reminder. I think by the time my LE edition shows up on Thursday, I'll be ready for it.

Even told the wife she had to watch the kid for a day.

I hate all of you.

I can't get the damn download to complete, no matter what site I download it from. Using Firefox or a download manager, no difference. When the connection dies, the manager can't resume the download.

download the Fileplanet downloader thingy. it'll resume for sure.

(yes, fileplanet sucks, but you dont seem to have a choice)

I'm downloading from filefront and opera seems to have no problem with resuming after I restarted my PC. I'm not sure yet if everything is ok as it's not showing progress anymore but it's showing speed and the file is increasing in size.

Athlon XP2800+. 1GB RAM, Gfx 6600 using Nforce 93.71, 800*600 resolution, all effects off, v-sync off and the game runs quite okie. Playable. Frame-rate is between 30-21.

Haven't try the beta driver yet (don't trust beta thing) so can't say if I will get any fps boost.
