Bioshock

I actually played and finished Bioshock many months ago, but only got around to writing this now.

Good:

-Deeply impressed about the setting and art. I swear if someone had asked me if it were possible to make a game in that setting in the current market and have it sell I'd say they'd have to be crazy. Super-impressed by the work they did not only to create the setting, but to actually sell it being so unique. I'm referring both to art deco and Ayn Rand.
-I can't believe I've played so many FPS to this day and this is the first where you have different kinds of ammo. Very interesting.
-Surprising to have any choices and consequences even if they were really only two options.

Bad:

-The setting and story provided such a large amount of interesting options for endings, but you have only two one of which I found kind of odd. Sure your character has no family, but trying to make one? I will say I like unique things, but that does seem a stretch. It would have been so interesting if your character could have used his powers to gain prominence in a society then try to recreate the spirit of Rapture, but depending on what you did either use the situation to your benefit (like Frank Fontaine) or try anticipate people like him and stay true to Andrew Ryan's dream. That would have been awesome.

Also why did they call the city Rapture given that it has a religious connotation when the people themselves were so far from God?

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller
