uh-huh. oookay.

ffs at least buy it 2nd hand so their ' X copies sold ' number doesn't rise....

Fallout 3: GOTY edition - now on sale. w/ special "expansion" - Fallout 1 and 2 - made by real professionals (not interns! woohoo!)

I'd say wait a week or two until all the pre-order copies gets sold back to all the various stores and just buy it used.
No moneys for Beth or publisher, har har. :P

For ultimate higher moral ground, don't buy it from the bastards at Gamestop, but find a small 'mom and pop' equivalent.
If you buy it from GameStop, EB Games, or other major chains you're just withholding money from greedy bastards by giving it to other greedy bastards.

Yeah but probably all reviewers will be over it, blinded by the bloom or something, and praise it as the second coming.
Be that as it may, there is usually some gameplay information and such in reviews. But if you can't count on reviewers to judge it fairly, can they then provide objective info on the gameplay?

Where have you seen objective previews of Fallout 3? Where have you seen objective reviews of Oblivion? Please.

Everything I've read says they are looking at Fallout 1 as the template for various things, ignoring the changes that Fallout 2 made. So, it's not a surprise that they are going to portray the super mutants as universally bad guys. That's how it was in Fallout 1, with the only real moral grey area coming late in the game when you were confronted with the Master. All the supers you saw shot at you first.

That wasn't because they were bad, tho'. It was because they were stupid.

Except Lou. Lou was a sadistic bastard.

"What a splendid sense of humor. Pity I don't have one.
So . . . the location of your Vault, if you please."

The fact that Super Mutants are percieved as (only) bad guys in Fallout makes the confrontation with the Master a lot more evocative, I think. You spend the whole game believeing them to be pretty generic bad-guys, until you realize that they are part of a grander scheme to advance humanity and create a race of humanoids that are better suited to survive the post-nuclear world. I managed to talk the Master into comitting suicide the first time I played through the game, and I remember feeling kinda sorry for him when he realizes that his plan is a failure and he blows himself up.

Of course, in Fallut 2 that cat was pretty much out of the bag, so it was possible to include a number of friendly Super Mutants.

"On the one front, Bethesda has mirrored this once more by using Karma to track the player’s actions and popularity, but on the other you won’t be finding any friendly mutants like in past games."
Son of a bitch. This is the first completely bad news I've heard.

Dammit, for the last time, its 'Real Time with Pause', not 'Turn Based'.

When its Turn Based, everything such as enemies and allies wait for their turn to move or perform an action, while in 'Turn Based with Pause', you stack up actions in Pause mode which are then executed when Pause is turned off.

Its not that difficult is it?

I think that this phenomenom can best be summed up by a quote from on George W. Bush:

In my line of work you gotta keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kinda catapult the propaganda

Yes. Now Ghouls and Super Mutants, offshoots of humanity and formerly emotional and variably personable, are just evil and stupid. Nope, nothing wrong with dumbing down a game that will be marketed to a youth demographic with implicit ignorance and racism. Nope, not a thing. Hell, why don't we just have it so groups of well-meaning righteous crusaders wander the DC wastelands in ceremonial and concealing uniforms lynching the filthy mud-races and burning them on pyres for even daring to exist in the manifest world of the pure white race? Oh wait, that would be FO3's Brotherhood of Steel, wouldn't it?

They did say most of the ghouls are friendly at least. The feral ones are supposedly the exception, not the rule.

Quote Ravager69:
As the Emperor says: "The diffrence between heresy and treachery is ignorance", Bethesda simply can't understand that they are doing it wrong.

They do , Just ignoring us.

Invite Beth. to do a review with NMA Here will be judge best ....Or at least if the team isn`t going for a quick buck ...

Quote Polynikes:
The gaming press never fails to let me down.

That is because that a positive review = $$ at least i think so + some more interviews if you are in good relations with the management ...you are in good relations with them if you get positive reviews out (seems logic ? isn`t it ?)

P.S. Hope i don`t get in the vats.

But really i hate Beth for "trying to repair something that was not broke" THEY SUCK!!

But, let me tell you, getting to see Fallout 3 before it was released was like a dream come true and, as one of the biggest fans of the series in the world, you can take it as a huge endorsement when I say that the game looks fantastic.

So which is his account on these forums?

Stop bitching. This was the best preview of the lot - it was done by someone who has actually played the game and, believe it or not, the majority of people are impressed by purdy pixelz. He is trying to be positive, but explicitly pointed out things, that were different and not really in a good way.
Didn't anyone notice the 'sandbox RPG' description?

Even though I didn't quite understand what you meant, you probably missed my point...
