well if the mod is free, then a good band might be Coheed & Cambria, theyre, like, angry punk with awesome instrumentals. but that might just be because im listening to them right now.

well, thats a lie. Im listening to Millencolin right now, but i was listening to Coheed about 5 hours ago.
 
Yeah and i listen silence right now, its great i put this into game!
Dont post just anything hear lately. Punk-rock seem not fit.
Want more ambient and dark wave or instrumentali like Bill Brown.

But you are right- its free, so anything can be into (more than comercial games can)
 
How about adding your favourite music in a directory and listening to it while playing, just like in Fallout Tactics?
Can that be done in the Fallout engine?
 
Must be converted to .ACM format
But its some another way to make it- play winamp and run game (must change in options turn-off music to hear only sounds i think it can be done)
Music that fit to game is for example "Escape from New York" soundtrack.
And i like most of "Front Line Assembly"
 
There are musicians out there who want to make music for Fallout mods. We have two on Mutants Rising and I think you will be pleased. Just advertise for a musician.

uh and found Tricky and Massive Attack music fit into my concept of game.
 
some scarily odd and eiry music is Craig Armstrong, he's a composer with a synthiser amongst other things, some violins etc.
Anyway, i play it whilst listening to fallout, its great. It alsoscared my girlfriend half to death when i played it to her in the dark.
 
Frank Sinatra, Dire Straits and something from the 50's and 60's? The fallout world is little "old" shall we say so there should be some music that goes along with the game theme, dont you think? 8)
 
Nooo... there cant be any singing in the music!! That would ruin the fallout atmosphere

Your best bet is to look up some ambeint/trance music and play around with it... cant tell you from which artists though :( There's a guy called dj_unique from fanmadefallout, he has some real good stuff! Mabye you should talk to him :)

Its got a nice spookyness to it and I can take out the gunshots in the begging and end of the music if you want :). Theres another good music file from the fallout 2 game itsself in the music directory its called 25sewer... I dont remember hearing this tune in the game but I like it alot!

Like Snorth said getting some ambient artists of your own works well, working on Mutants Rising over at NWS we have Slunk3am and eimink, some very talented ambient/industrial musicians. Some really good tracks have been made that we are certainly going to use in our mod. All original, and I think that'll add something special to the game.

The track lich posted is great, but not really Fallouty.

I'm a composer myself and I'd like to help with the music but firstly I need to blend in with the atmosphere to create something suitable for it... So I'll only slow things down... But I'll try to help...

Sorry, I don't have any samples to post right now... But I mostly concentrate on dark ambient... I'll PM you when I'm able to send you some samples...

i reckon we need to stop mucking around and get some samples on here alredy!
then wen we sample a few pick out some of them and then we can try mixing them a little to suit our needs for the game...

were u looking for music for like the world map or towns or locations? coz i know of a few
