Have you learned nothing from human history? We are incapable to "properly control" these chips. Abuse of power is so human, and what is information if not power? This whole tag me thing is way too 1984 for me. I mean what next? Put in a chip that hooks up to all my sensory receptors? Do you really want someone to know everything that you do?
Hypothetical situation: you are with your girlfriend/wife spending some quality time. You also have a chip implanted that allows the people who control them to see all you see, hear all you hear etc. How would you feel knowing someone may be watching you? Knowing you can have no privacy, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide? Can you solemnly swear that you never did something you did not want anyone to know about? Think about it.... No personal space whatsoever. I think that would be just inhumane.
